    Anybody watch Dr. Phil tonight

 It was absolutely crazy. And very sad. It was about a mom who had that m syndrom. I cant spell it. Well she had the one girl, and she kept making her sick, and taking her to hospitals, etc to get attention. Well seventeen years later she has another child, and does the same stuff to, and this time she gets caught. The lady took the kids to hundreds of hospital visits.
Well the even scarier part of the story was, The young girl (she is 18 now) remebered seeing her mom burying something in the backyard. When her mom left, the girl dug it up, and found it was a baby (its not clear if the baby was alive or not) but the little girl (she would have been 8-10 years old at the time) wrapped it back up, and buried it back where she found it. And asked her mom about it. The mom lied and said it was her friends. Well the girl told the police and they found the babies remains in the backyard. This was such a freaking sick sad story. But the worst part is Dr phil called the mom, (shes in prison) and she still to this day doesn't think she did anything wrong, and she wants to have more kids. :cussing:

 I just don't understand some mothers. Some women should never be allowed to have children. Why is it that those that should never have kids seem to spit them out left and right and some women who would make wonderful mothers can't have them? Some things I just don't understand no matter how hard I try.

Yes thats it!! Yea I cant believe a mom would do that to her kids. I hate when my child is sick and has to suffer. And I try everything to not have to take her to the hospital. How in the world did the lady pay all those hospital, doctor bills ???

There're varying degrees and levels of Munchausen Syndrome. Some also use themselves feigning every type of problem known to man. They will use any member of the family including themselves in order to get sympathy and attention by exploiting them. They will make up completely false stories no matter how out there it is. They will even make sure they have "proof" to back up their stories of sorrow and heartbreak. I know quite a few of us here know of one particular person that shows obvious signs of this. It is truly sad. Especially what it does to other members of the family. Also sad, are the people who fall for it. It just makes it worse by enabling them.

Sadly enough I used to have a friend that had this syndrom. All of us moms knew that something just wasn't right. It was finally her insurance man that sat her down and told her her would like to help her find someone to help. She threatened to sue him and that was the end of that. Her insurance dropped her health coverage due to the enormous amount of claims she had made on her son. I don't know how they are now because I havent spoken with her in about four years. (one of those toxic friendships) I did hear that the son (now 14) tried to go live with his dad but she wouldn't allow him to do it.

I didnt watch it. but I have had seen other shows about this. Its awful. Its scary that alot of women get away with it for soooo long before they are caught. I saw a show once where the hospital had put a hidden camera in the babies room in hopes of catching the mother. They did. The camera caught her putting her hand over the babies nose and mouth until it passed out and she started screaming for the nurses. crazy, crazy lady.
