I received a winning email from sheknows.com and all it said in the subject box was "sheknows.com" I normally delete anything that does not say "Congratulations"; however, I accidently left that one in and thank goodness because I won eyelash conditioner.

I am new to the sweeps. How are winners notified that they have won? It seems that e-mails are likely but some have mentioned that there are winning e-mail with nothing in the subject line. How strange. Does anyone get a phone call these days? :sunny:

Thanks for sharing the tips, especially the known scam addresses. I try to be careful about what sites I visit/enter, but still receive LOTS of spam/junk email over the past few months. Have also picked up lots of viruses and spyware, despite up-to-date antivirus programs and cleaners. It's almost enough to keep me from Sweeping...

    Almost!!

When I won $5,000 from AT&T I received an affy in my home mailbox...I just won an Omagazine giveaway and received a phone call.....All my other wins were in my email or just showed up at the door..

I have a suspicious email today: Dear customer.

The parcel was sent your home address.
And it will arrive within 3 business day.

More information and the tracking number are attached in document below.

    Thank you.

Problem is there is an attachment. I will NOT open. If they want to send me a parcel, that is just fine, but I'm not opening attachments that could contain virus! This is also suspicious. There is a thread on these types of emails in our Reported Scams forum

    http://www.sweepstakesplus.com/smf/fed-ex-t72439.0.html
Sweepers by nature are *always* looking for a free lunch, but if you value your time over your $$$, then upgrading to PLUS at less than a dime a day gives you the best bang for your $$$!
