Thanks all. I've already confirmed. Received my flight info today. So excited. I've never been to Vegas. Staying in a Vista Suite at Planet Hollywood. Anyone have any Vegas tips????
 
VEGAS TIP Always play the max amount of coins in a slot machine. Congratulations on your trip, wish I was going.

I went in 1995 and stayed for 10 days at the Luxor! We saw Siegfried and Roy! EFX with Michael Crawford, went to Caesar's Palace, and the Excalibur for a medieval times show with horses.

We took a bus tour to Hoover Dam and went inside the dam and ate a "Dam Dog"! (hot dog)

Tip...

Wear lots of sunscreen! I had sun poisoning from the hot sun!

Bring a good hat, and stay indoors during the hot hours.

I never went, but they redid the older part of Vegas, and heard it is a good spot to see.

MGM was a good casino and we enjoyed it there as well.

Stay away from the one armed bandits! I love the roulette wheel!

The Luxor had a wonderful Polynesian restaurant that was divine. Steak with a Polynesian sauce...YUM!

They had a King Tut tour which was a water ride in the hotel. They have the best elevators at an angle. The pyramid at night is a stunning backdrop for photo memories.

You will have to check out trip advisor Vegas and read real reviews that are current to help you choose what to do!

Congrats! A couple tips...win, don't lose LOL and if you have free day, go to see the Grand Canyon, and check out downtown (old) Vegas. Try blackjack and play "by the book" - buy one if you have to - your best odds in gambling.
 
wow, was just thinking if they ever did give out the big prizes there lol that is fantastic!! have fun!! I went on a mountain bike tour in the desert. Look trip advisor. Was great!! they pick you up at hotel ect
 
Enjoy, bring comfortable clothes and shoes, you will probably be doing a lot of walking, CONGRATS!!
 
Congratulations! Been to Vegas many times, I work there yearly in the race car business. Was recently there as a prize winner to see Rush. Don't gamble! Or only a little, budget for it and cut yourself off. Enjoy the free stuff. The Bellagio and other large casinos have really cool things to see that cost nothing. Have fun and come home with money still in your pocket!
 
Congrats on a fantastic prize! I was stationed in Vegas from 1979-80 while in the Air Force. Several years ago, one of my first sweeps prizes was a vacation there. My tips are to plan your activities ahead of time. Also, take a look at all the coupons and discounts that are available. Finally, drink a lot of water and stay hydrated. The temperature is usually high and humidity is low. It can be easy to become dehydrated or pass out simply due to lack of fluids. Have a great time and take lots of pics.
 
Congrats!!! I won a trip to Vegas years back through an essay sent to Vibe magazine. Tips: DO NOT fall for the free money for sitting through a vacation presentation!! They say it takes 45 minutes & you'll get $100. They DO give you the money, but it takes 3 hours minimum & is a very hard, grueling sell. They MAKE you take a shuttle to see the vacation property or they won't give you the money. I would gladly return the $100 to get my time back. Also, if you end up going off strip to the Fremont Experience area (take the bus to save $$), go to the Golden Gate & get the cheap, but really good shrimp cocktail (if you like that). It's a favorite of locals & tourists. If you drink alcohol, you can go to the drug store to get it cheaper & drink in your hotel room before venturing out. Go get the players cards & freebies at every hotel. Some are pre-loaded with money & offer discounts galore! Wear comfortable shoes!! Vegas is a lot of walking & standing. My feet cashed out by the end of my trip.
