Always think of someone else that may benefit from a sweep. If the rules don't fit you. They may fit a friend or relative. So don't hesitate to forward a sweep along to someone who can benefit.

Always carry 3x5 notecards in the event that you find a sweep at a store or mall and they have run out of entry forms. You can write down your information and drop it in the box. Or write down whatever information there is so that you can mail in your entry.

What a good tip!  I never thought about doing this.  Many times there will be a box for entry forms but nothing to write with or no more forms.  I'll remember this one.  Thanks!

I always try to enter expiring soon sweeps every day during the last few days of the month the will expire because many people enter when a sweep is first listed.  This works well especially if a potential winner is pulled from all entries received on a given day.  The fewer who have entered gives you more of a chance to be picked!  I hope this make sense!

Always remember to carry your business cards, because sometimes restaurants or places like bagel places or even juice bars have there own little contests for a free lunch.  So drop our card in the bowl and hope for the best. Nothing like free food.

I tend to win any sweeps where you actually have to write a tip or essay, i think less people take the time and your odds are better!

I live in Florida and am headed to Orlando in September so i hope I win!

Entering for small prizes pays off because they make great stocking stuffers if its not something that you like.  CD's, DVD's, and Posters are all great gifts to give and is a nice unexpected pick me up.

And thanks hockeymom for the kudos on my tip. You never know when you may run across a good contest to enter.

I always enter the sweeps that are going to expire either in a week or this month so I don't have to wait as long to find out if I have won!

I used to work at Busch Gardens in 97-98, I loved having the employee tickets - they were great.  I haven't been to either park in years so now that I have a 3 yr old I would love to go back!!!  Does this include Adventure Island too?

Don't take sweeping too seriously. Meaning if you don't win that car, rip or that illusive Ipod today you may win it tomorrow. Congratulate those that win because it Will be you in the future.

Sometimes sweeps can be entered multiple times. If its an instant sometimes its better to enter back to back. You may turn up a winner.

Think of what you want to win, and if you or someone you know can use it.  Don't waste time entering for things you don't want.  I make a list for christmas, birthdays and enter for those prizes.  You can search by prize on sweepsadvantage which makes it much easier!!

It may sound crazy but I have dedicated a telephone line to my sweeps so that I don't have to have telemarketers that of course some kind of way get my telephone number calling my main line. I got a plan from one of the VOIP phone companies out there and its only $200 a year for the service and at least I know that when that phones ring its a sweep.  Boy do I love to hear that phone ring.

Remember to have proper and valid ID ready in the event that you win a sweep that requires travel. Sometimes a sponsor is not understanding in that respect so be ready.  And you  have to remember that it can take up to two months to get a passport so think first before entering.

I would love to win this one.  Here's a good tip:  I don't have much time to enter sweeps and I find it now takes forever to get through all the junk email i get from not checking the box that says do not add me to your list.  Take the extra minute to read and uncheck the boxes that are already checked, it will save you time trying to get removed from the lists and sorting through all the junk.

Since hubby will sometimes enter sweeps too, I have started a favorites folder for one entry per household sweeps and have asked that he check that folder prior to entering any sweeps.  I'd hate to be disqualified because both of us entered the same sweeps!

Wow thanks so much.  Its so nice to see that the site steps up an honors a contest when who knows what happened to the originator of the contest.  Thanks so so much for awarding a prize, and the fact that I won is even more of a surprise.  Can't wait to see what comes in the mail.

Now off to find the feedback form....LOL
