I've never been to a convention. I have been a sweeper for about 15 years -- have won some fabulous prizes, but lately, haven't been entering. Can someone tell me what the convention is like? is it worth $250 plus airfare and hotel? I'm thinking I might want to make the trip this year... Would love to hear from those who have attended in the past  . Stacie |

Hi Stacie!! It is sooooo worth the money. Look at it this way: 1. you get to travel to another state maybe you have never been to (sort of a mini vacation). the sweepstake hosts posts and inform us of lots of things to do in the area so you aren't bored, site seeing, day and night life adventures, resturants to eat at, places to shop, etc. 2. you get to meet others who share the same hobby as you and hopefully you start a really good friendship. 3. the convention itself is sooooo fun, they give away LOTS & LOTS of prizes the whole time the convention is going on. there is a dinner night where you put your nice clothes on and join everyone for the big event (where the larger prizes are given away). there will be lots of speakers to keep us sweepers motivated to keep on sweepin.
i say if you have the money....GO!!.... my hubby and I are definitely going to this. can't wait!! *smiles* i hope you go and we can sit together if you'd like... get a SA table poppin!! *wink

Thanks for the feedback I didn't know they gave away so many prizes -- I'm having a sort of dry spell (I'm entering infrequently right now) and maybe I just need some motivation -- a nice prize would do - LOL. Heck, probably any prize would do. I have a 13 year old daughter that is showing signs of being a budding sweeper -- are kids welcome? Thanks! Stacie |

this is the place the be... i can assure you ... you will most likely win SOMETHING at this convention. no, the age to attend the convention is 18 and up. i have a 13 yr old also who would like to join but sorrrrrrrrrrry kids ..... ohh well, they can join us in 5 more years.. lol.... did you have a chance to click on the sweeps convention link i posted? make sure you do so you can get the latest information. hope to see ya there...  |
