That looks really good. We are going to lunch at his uncle's house and then on Saturday a big BBQ for the 4th. Not sure why they are doing it then, I had to move my daughters birthday party to Sunday which is her birthday but, I wanted to do it Saturday.

I'm making pork roast, baked squash and gluten free lemon cake. With plenty of blueberries and watermelon on the side. Man our blueberry bushes are full. Mom picked two gallons of blueberries tonight. And that is with the rabbits eating half of them!

We just grilled out BBQ burgers ~ on tomorrows menu ~ steak, baking potatoes, and homemade ice cream.  We love grilling out ~ we bought some Jack Daniel's marinade (teraki kind) I hope it is as good as what they put on their stuff at TGI Fridays.  That is like the best chicken ever...

Today is a day I hide, nothing special for me and rather depressing as I reflect on my failures as a daughter. It will be unidentified meat, boiled potatos, canned corn or peas, salad.   It was in the foil so I not looking but assume it will be burgers, steak or chicken.

Just another day for me except for Dad has been gone 16 years.

Nothing special for me because I wasn't invited to a barbecue and I'm alone here, so I'll make a meal at home, do some repairs and cleaning out. Next weekend I have a party, so my 4th is deferred.

You Debbie Downers are killing me!  cry  Churchy, sorry about your dad.  Sweepy, go crash someone else's bar-b-q.  As long as you bring a covered dish they may not notice.

Ping Pong, the JD teriyaki is every bit as good as the JD sauce.  You'll love it!

Miki, a big Happy Birthday to your daughter.  I hope the bar-b-q is worth the wait!

Champ, welcome to the Dirty Thirty, baby  laughing  Go do things even I wouldn't do and love every minute of it!

We're going to our friends' bar-b-q.  I've made a huge batch of taco dip, coleslaw, and baked beans with lil sausages.  They've bought close to a grand's worth in fireworks and promised one hell of a show.  The boys are extremely excited.  Now, if it would only quit raining long enough for peeps to enjoy the 4th.  I swear, I think it rains every 4th of July  cussing

Wow that was sure rude scratch nono.  SA is family love and family sometimes hurt cry love.  I would love to go to a GF free meal with friends and family.  Sigh,  Mom had french toast, eggs, and sausage.  I forced down a burger patty and fries.

Have you tried hooking up with a support group in your area? The nearest one to me is 120 miles and has primarily autistic kids (and their parents) but in more metro areas the support groups have more adults and go out for dinners and all kinds of fun stuff. They get a lot of freebies, too. sunny

dont need advice just need people to understand that not everyone has a perfect family with lots of relatives who gather at barbecues.  We do not all have friends to party with.  I felt it was rude to call people names jut because they are alone or in hiding from the world because of the day.
