Woo hoo! I saw the premier tonight. There were a few good singers tonight. And, as usual, some horrible squawkers. How the parents and friends of these people can allow them to get on national tv and embarass themselves, is beyond me! And then some of them cry when they are rejected. Geez...you'd think they were just told they would be executed the next day or something.

The guy that came in with the belly dancers outfit was...something else! Now he has to let all that chest hair grow back in ~ ouch!!!
So glad it is back on though!!! Especially now that all of the first runs are just about at an end!

Doesn't it come on again tonight? Wife Swap comes on tonight also. I already see it's gonna be one of those flick back and forth to watch two different shows tonight. Project Runway comes on tonight also, but I think it starts at 10. Anybody like that show?

That's one of the things on my wish win list. As much as I'm already paying for cable and internet, I just can't bring myself to buy more equipment and pay another monthly fee. I heard if you ever go tivo, you never go back.

I ended up getting mine on ebay and buying the service where you never have to pay a monthly fee ~ I love it! I took me almost a year to get the one that I wanted ~ I waited for the prices to go down, wanted one that would dual tape, and I wanted a lot of hours 300+ but you are correct, I won't be without one again!! Love mine!!
It is so funny though ~ it is suppose to be mine and if you look at the line up on it reads something like ~
Hannah Montana iCarly Courage the Cowardly Dog Fairly Oddparents
My 10 year old loves my Tivo ~ I have to threaten her! She will nix mine to record hers if I'm not watching her!!

What's the service where you only pay one time fee? I have never ehard of that. I might rethink it if I can do something like that. online, watching 2 different tv shows, and eating cookies. Can life get any better?

It is just lifetime service ~ the only way you can get it is to buy it through a used Tivo or buy the service from someone that has already bought it. I only paid like $350.00 for my Tivo and the service together ~ it is a series 2 though. A new series 3 is now coming down in price now ~ they were like $1700.00, but now you can get them for under $800.00 on eBay.
Just really be sure to do your research before you decide to buy. Make sure what you are getting. If you decide to look and need any help let me know! Been there and done that!!

Wow, you got a fab deal. I think for now I'll stay put with what I have. I just don't know enough about them. Thanks for the offer tho. I'll definitely get in touch with you if we decide to buy in the future. I think the worse thing I ever invested in for tv was satellite. We bought 4 boxes and the thing on the roof and never had anything but trouble with it. Finally went to cable and never regretted it. Anybody want a slightly used satellite system?

Check with your cable company about dvr. We have a dvr box from Charter. It's just like having TIVO only nots as expensive. My DH records all the Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith, Let's Make a Deal, Price is Right and of course Bill O'Reilly. It's wonderful, as you can pause life tv and go back and not miss anything. We love it.

Yeah ~ I was surprised that they let the girl that had been in the car wreck through ~ I liked her as a person, great attitude, but bless her heart she couldn't sing! If they were going by heartstrings then they should have let in the 16 year old football playing girl with the sick mom!

Oh man I love watching the first shows of each season. The ones who think they can sing are hillarious. And they actually think they are good.

Hooray for guys with man boobs! It's high time guys stood up and took a stand. Guys can have breasts of their own. Soon, we guys should start rallying for the right to wear long dresses instead of those tight, ball-squashing pants that get no air circulation...which can lead to crotch rot, chafing, sweating and odor. How women ever managed to wear pants (especially those capri pants that look like high-water pants, btw) and be accepted in society, but the average man cannot be accepted when wearing a dress or other loose fitting, airy, non-constraining clothing...is beyond me!

You could get away with that here. I have seen men in dresses. That's just one of the reasons I love it here. No judgements. I could go to town in my pj's and slippers and no one would think anything of it. Although I would never do it. I have seen it. And people don't treat you any different than if you were dressed in what is considered normal.

I go to the school to pick up the kids in my pj's all the time Of course, a lot of people wear PJ's around here also! No biggie!! I don't go in anywhere in them, but I don't think a thing about wearing them out and about!! I would pay somebody good money to get bribe pictures of my hubby in a dress ~ pink would be nice That would be enough to get the whole house redone

I like that they are giving more background stories this year!
Bunny ~ check out ebay sometime for tivo's with lifetime, they have the older models for lowprices. Since Christmas is over you should be able to get some good prices if you are interested! I know you can get an 80 hour for around $100.00 or so ~ darn good price for one with lifetime service, just not many hours!!

This season is really strange. people getting thru with little or no talent and some not getting thru that sounded good to me. Even the rejects arent as bad as they were last year. Im already rooting for the really, really attractive guy from Australia. He got thru last week, dark hair. we need a drooling smiley. other than him no one else really stands out to me.

I heard the show took a dip this year. For some reason, even I'm not as interested this year. Maybe when they start the show, I'll get back into it. Clay Aiken was my all time favorite ever, and he wasn't even the winner.
