My recap of last week's show:

Michael Johns:  sang "Dream On", by Aerosmith; nice performance.
Syesha Mercado:  sang "I Believe", by Fantasia; nice performance; stong vocals.
Jason Castro:  sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow", by Israel ??; a ukelale version of the song, which was only so-so for me...although the judges liked it.  I still think he relies too much on playing an instrument while singing.  Nasty dreadlocks need to go!
Kristy Lee Cook:  sang "Anyway", by Martina McBride; very nice performance, good song choice; if only she could sing this well always!
David Cook:  sang "Innocent", by Our Lady Peace; not the best of songs for him.
Carly Smithson:  sang "The Show Must Go On", by Queen; wonderful performance -- she rocked that song; however, she sounded almost angry in her tone.
David Archuleta:  sang "Angels" by ?? ; another awesome, sweet performance...OMG.
Brooke White:  sang "You've Got A Friend", by Natalie Cole; a so-so performance...BLAH...not a good song rendition.

So there!  Most everyone really sucked this past week, except for David, Carly and Kristy Lee.

I would really like to hear David Archuleta sing songs like "Bridge Over Troubled Water" or "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"......

they were better than last week. David C rocked.  As soon as they showed carey with her dog I kept thinking, I'll get you and your little dog too. couldnt help myself.   

And Paula... omg! when she gets stuck on a thought I just want randy or simon to reach over and smack her in the back of the head. spit it out woman!!!!!.. AI would really be worth watching then. What is she on anyway?

OMG...I am in love with the dancing baby...haven't seen it in YEARS ~ that is so cute!  I'm going to rip it off and use it in my siggy ~lol!!

I really thought Brooke should have went this week...I thought she just did terrible!  I think the pouting thing is a combo of thinking it is cute and not realizing it is so stupid looking!

Oh my gosh...I think David Cook is SO cute when he is waiting to hear the judges comments!!  I love the way he wrinkles his nose...just adorable!!  I think it is a two horse race between him and David A. though...I just love those two!!  I will be glad to get a CD of both of them soon ~ I think they both are going to make it BIG!!!

Yeah, she may have had more hits than Elvis, but can anyone remember them?  I never really liked Mariah anyhow, especially once she had her "mental breakdown" several years ago...when she disappeared from the spotlight.  Without American Idol this past week, I would have been hard-pressed to name a Mariah song, let alone a hit song from her. 

I agree totally!  I couldn't remember one song...not one.  And then vaguely remembered them as the Idols were singing.

Did she buy some boobs too?   

I saw where she had a live-in cook.  I remember thinking dang, wish I had one!

I guess I just can't wrap my brain over her beating out Elvis.  It seems like a lie.

I remember her being on Oprah some years back talking about the breakdown, but can't remember what she said instigated it.  She was on Oprah a few days ago too and talking a tad bit about it but I was doing other stuff so i still don't know what made her go coo-coo...something about her ex hubby the music producer treating her like a prisoner or something.  Eh, who knows and who cares.  Her music stinks in my book.

OK, wasn't to terrible tonight. Not as bad as I thought it would be.

David C~ He could look at the camera and sing happy birthday I would be like "That's just the greatest Version EVER" 

David A~ I actually liked him tonight. Usually he is just to cutesy for me.

Brooke~ I really, really, really dislike this girl. the pouting and the crinkled up forehead like she is really listening to watch the judges say drives me crazy.

Jason~~ When he started singing I said out loud "OMG! someone shoot me!!!!..

Carly~ good but boring. That dress was very distracting. Someone needs to get this poor girl a stylist. STAT.

Syeshia~ another very good performance. however, There is no way she is winning this thing.

And Paula once again doesn't disappoint.     I wish I could be so optimistic all the freakin time. The Devil could come on stage, pitchfork and all, and start singing come on baby light my fire and she would be like...oh Satan,,, I just cant believe how wonderful that was. What a lovely voice. And you look  great with that pitchfork. Whatever paula.. keep on sipping that  vodka, um I mean coke.

I love it!!  Don't forget she would have to tell him how good his horns are looking

Yep ~ David Cook rocked it!  He is so good...I look forward to hearing him ever week!  I will be glad when he gets back to what he does best!

Archie did good last night...I really like this kid ~ seems like a good kid.

Okay...Brooke has overstayed her welcome at this point.  I know she will have a career after this, but I won't be one buying anything she does.  I'm sorry, but getting on my last nerve!!!

Jason was terrible.  They say that there are pictures of him smoking pot   Is anyone really surprised??? Come on!!  Still think he has the prettiest eyes ever!  They just sparkle...must be from the smoke ~lol!!

Syesha did a really good job ~ I wouldn't be surprised if she goes home tonight though... Carly did well also! 

Did Andrew Lloyd Weber seem like a butthole to you guys also??  It just seemed like to me that he couldn't stand for the kids to sing his precious songs...if not, why did he even come on the show?  Did he not know that they were going to sing
