On my spare computer I'm getting this message on a blue screen;
A problem has been detected and windows needs to shut down. HIBER_IASTOR.SYS
DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATIONS

I have to reboot it every time & it's happening a couple times a day now...after the computer sits idle.

Thankx for any help.

Ooh, the "Blue Screen of Death"!  I haven't seen one of those in many years.

You may want to search through www.microsoft.com for a fix.  They also have a forum to ask for tech help.  I just ended up doing a system recovery and adding back in the programs that got deleted the time I had a problem with one of those about ten years ago.

It just ended up easier for me than trying to find a fix.

Oh God! How on earth did I get this problem????? I have the best anti everything from RoadRunner installed on this computer. I found something on Microsoft that I plan to conduct; takes about 2 hrs & hopefully that'll cure this infamous problem.

Believe me, everyone experiences computer problems from time to time no matter what.  I have a habit of crashing IE from having multiple windows and tabs open, jumping from one to another entering sweepstakes, and way too much flash running in the different windows and tabs on these sweepstakes.  It's kind of like I give it brain freeze, and the computer gets all scrambled up, and freezes while trying to figure out and report the problems!LOL

After that, it's just easier to reboot.

Hm, this computer is rarely used. My daughter plays at Barbie & Build a Bear & my other daughter downloads music occasionally. I don't even use it to enter sweeps. Good thing I guess, if it has gotten corrupted with the few websites it has been too!

Just blame it on the children! laughing

Sometimes, if I let my one son download from iTunes, something gets messed up that I have to straighten out.  Go figure!

Yep! I do believe it's the music sites. I've always heard that's where the bugs are. Thanks lidarkside for all your help!
