I checked BBB and brought up nothing. I have no idea if this is a real survey or fake. I am not sure how they even got my email since I am
not a member of bariatric community and probably wouldn't qualify for a survey.

Dear,

Our marketing firm is conducting a research study on the bariatric community and we would love to interview you. The phone survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes and can be scheduled for whenever it’s convenient for you. To thank you for your participation, we’ll send you a $5 gift card of your choice to Bed Bath and Beyond, Regal Entertainment, Blockbuster or Starbuck's. If you’re interested in participating, kindly email me at lparry@msco.com with your availability. Participation is limited so respond today!

We look forward to speaking with you!

Warm regards,

Linda Parry, Esq.

I got the same email.  I took it as legit, but I remember more to the email pertaining to this survey being directed towards people that are in marketing or have their own business.  It didn't pertain to me, so I deleted it.

What's really weird is usually if you are signed up with a site to take surveys, the emails conects you to the SURVEY site first. If you didn't sign up for this company's surveys, I'd say DELETE. 5 bucks is so not worth the hassle of spam, or worse, spyware or viruses.

Some survey sites do have partners or third parties that will directly contact you for a survey.  I get quite a number of them.  You can also be asked to participate in a survey from entering a sweepstakes.  We got asked to do a 30-minute phone survey from DeWalt which got us one of those contractor Dewalt radios that looks like a generator.

Thanks guys for your input. Maybe I'll write her back and tell her I don't qualify since I have not had bariatrics surgery. Thanks so much  Waving.  I will be very careful with this one since I've never heard of them.

Sometimes replying to the email causes problems. I would just delete and forget it.

Yeah I think I will. If she was legit she should have mentioned how she got my info like, "you recently entered a (some name) contest and now we would like you to participate in a survey...."
Thanks all for your help!
