Now can someone tell me how to get the avatar that I pick out in my square. Yes, I admit that I am totally useless when it comes to stuff like this- so take it slow and easy. My brain might explode if you try to put to much in it :roll:

Here ya go Ping! Greensthings explained this in another thread. I wouldn't know even where to begin!  look at the top of the screen, you will see "Chat, FAQ, Search, Memberlist, Usergroups, Profile, Private message and log out" listed.
If you click on "Profile" you can add a small picture (called an avatar) under your name .
once you have clicked on "Profile" it will open up the edit profile page, you will want to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page where you will see "Avatar control panel" with the instructions of
"Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB." and various options on how to put the picture there (I reccomend once you have found a picture you like in the right size, that you save it to your computer, and use option one "Upload Avatar from your machine:"
Once you click the browse button, search through your computer to where you saved the picture you want to use as an avatar and click open.
Once you are done, make sure and click the Submit button at the bottom of the profile page.
I will soon be starting a thread of avatar pictures you (and anyone else) can feel free to use! |

Well GT I found out that I was doing the avatar upload right, but my avatar pick was to big- I picked out the dancing kitty and it says it is to big :(
But the kissing kitties will fit- and to me it looks bigger!!!

Since I couldn't get my dancing kitty, I opted for the hummingbird. They were my Mom's favorite thing. She had to fix GALLONS of mixture a day for the ones that she had. She also had about 20 feeders. It was dangerous to walk outside at times.
Everytime I see my avatar, I will think of her!! Thanks GT- it means more than you know!!!
