SA rarely bans members.  When we do, you can still access the site, you just can't post notes in the Forum.  Bans are determined by the mods and admins and can be temporary or permanent.  We don't like to ban people.  Avoid the behaviors below and you'll never have a problem:

YOU CAN BE BANNED FOR:

* Spamming the site.  Don't post your Viagra links here.

* Ignoring posted rules, especially if you are a repeat offender.  An example would be posting multiple vote requests when you have been a site member for less than the required two weeks.

* Inappropriate language.  There is a site filter that swaps out the more obvious naughty words but a creative troublemaker can still find ways to be insulting.  Don't do it.

* Attacking other members.  You can disagree with another person, but if you start getting mean and insulting, you'll get yourself banned.  If you feel that you have been attacked, report it.

* Posting inflammatory comments that may not be directed at anyone in particular but are offensive to our members.  An example would be a post where you point out that you don't trust _________ people because everyone knows they are dirty, Godless scoundrels.

* Using SA's personal message (PM) system to harass or spam other members.  If you feel that you have received inappropriate communications, report it.

* If you are promoting another site, read the SA rules so that you can work with us to draw attention to your website.  SA is a great site, but it's also a business.  Work with SA, and we both benefit.  Try to get around our site requirements and you'll get yourself banned.

We don't like to ban people.  We really don't.  Please don't put yourself in a position where we have to do it.  Thank you.

What did you do this time?   

With the new SweepsPlus, we have had a lot of new traffic lately and added some new mods recently.  So instead of waiting for things to get out of hand, we have been discussing how best to keep SA the way we love it.  So, instead of being hard handed, we thought we would just remind everyone that, on the other side of the forum page, you will find another person.  A real person with feelings and emotions.

SA members are usually very respectful and, in a bad moment, are usually easy to talk with and make realize when and if they have made a mistake.  Many forums are not like this and degenerate into a name calling, personal attacking cesspool.   Putting this information out there is a good way to show new members that we are committed to providing a peaceful, friendly forum experience.  It is possible.

So, this is more of a proactive, friendly sort of reminder for everyone.  Nothing more. 

Sorry to disappoint you all.  But, if you want to have something to gossip about, I will gladly ban someone for fun.  Any volunteers?   

  Back off the loyal one or you may find yourself on the wrong end of the worst possible ban!  Around here it's called a chocolate embargo!      Now, if you want to nominate another I can give you a few names!   

If I did I am sorry. If I did it I forgot it.  I am memory impaired, please warn me first and let me delete it. It aint easy being me. Do anything but ban me because this is my second home now. Don't boot me to the streets. Its hard out there. Is "dagnabbit" a bad word? How bout "galldurnit?" I have a horrible tourette thingy (not really) that makes me say dagnabbit alot. 

Wolfie would never ban me.  After all, I was King to her Queen in the Royal Castle at one time.  Until she dethroned me for discovering that much of the chocolate in her Choco Vaults was rancid.  Also, I know the truth about One-Ton.  Does it actually exist?  Why does she never show her minions?  Her Wolfiness is spreading bad choco Karma, she is!

I haven't been in the forums here in a LONG time - I have missed  you all!  I have to say that this is the nicest forum out there.  There is another site where honestly, they thrive on bringing others down.  I just don't get that.

some days I wish someone would ban me, maybe I could get some sleep.  I am so addictted to sweeps. help me someone chocolate and sweeps make the world go around

I am addicted too.    I have even managed to convince my DH that sweeping is actually my job, kinda like working on commission, you never know when the next "paycheck" will come in or how much it will be.     But he does some sweeping also so it was an easy convince. 

I hear ya, 3 of my daughters are coming tomorrow and staying til Sunday evening and I am thinking about all the sweeps I am not going to get to enter Sat and Sun   ... love seeing my kids and grands but my addiction makes my mind go in a strange direction.     Will be up really late Sun night trying to catch up when I should be resting    from the 6 grands that will be here.  (ooops, hubby snuck in to do his "new" sweeps and didn't sign off so I posted under his name by mistake)

Now THAT is a GREAT idea!!!!
