I finally got so tired of the flash ads that seemingly pop up on EVERY website that I load.  If you use Roboform or you use the Sweepspop feature you know what I mean.  You open 10-15 webpages and each one has it's commercial that loads and runs automatically with the flash player not only annoying you but also slowing down your available time for sweeping because you have to wait for your browser to load/play the annoying content.

I've read a lot of complaints about IE 8 not having a ad block feature.  I found one last nite but after using it I didnt like it because it didn't have an on/off feature to let me screen the ads/flashes that I wanted to play.

I know that Firefox people have that Adblock addon and I'm envious.

I did find this very simple download for those people who use Internet Explorer 7.  It very simply puts a clickable button on your web browser so that you can enable/disable flash content with a single click and a refresh.  You can visibly see whether flash is enabled/disabled on the status bar.  I think this download is reasonably safe.  I've installed it and am using it and it works exactly like I want it to.  There hasn't been any complaints from my virus/malware monitors about strange activity either.

The download is here:  http://flash.melameth.com and as I said it's a flash enable/disable button that is put on your browser so that when you don't want to watch/hear/see flash content you click the button to disable the flash content and refresh your browser.  You can then see the block on your status bar.  This is very useful for people using IE 7 to do the sweepspops on the expiring/new sweeps.

When you are doing the instant wins you probably want to keep the flash enabled as 99% of them are just flash games.

If a page loads that needs flash for you to be able to see the content you simply click the button to enable flash and refresh that page and your flash content is enabled.

I like that the flash content can be enabled/disabled on a page by page basis as well as a blanket disable.  What I mean is I can open SA and go to the expiring sweeps section.  I make sure that flash is disabled.  I then open say 15-20 pages with sweepspop.  Each page that opens automatically has flash disabled because it was disabled from it's parent page.  Then if one of those sweeps requires me to run flash I can enable flash content and refresh that single page to see it's content.  With this I don't have 15 commercials opening on each website that i opened with sweepspop and that makes me happy.
