The new Java update does not play well with the mysurvey pop up thingy. Indeed, it ate all the system memory and gave me the blue screen of death. error I had to go in through DOS, and being a computer idiot managed to delete IE7 while I was trying to fix it. That was fun.
Anyway, if you're running that handy little utility and having problems, you may wish to delete it until mysurvey can resolve these issues. I've finally got everything back to normal, after overcoming my desire to throw the laptop out the window...

I'm glad you managed to fix yours. I had to get the tech to pick up 2 of my computers. Good thing he's a friend. One computer had the blue screen & the other crashed from updating adobe & maybe IE8 I installed, huh!

I wonder if the conflicts extend to other utilities of this nature? scratch Did you get an "out of  virual memory" message before it went to bluescreen? When I checked out the system activity, it looked like the mysurvey program had tried to sequence the human genome laughing...IE8 seems to be running fine. Do let us know what the cause of death was on your system when the tech figures it out.
