So sorry to hear that! Grab a blanket and a cup of cocoa to warm yourself up. It's actually getting warmer here. It's almost 9pm and 49 degrees.

Ok I know I'm a total wimp when it comes to cold. I think its like 30 or something outside. But it is sooooo cold. I couldn't imagine living where it gets under that. I miss out on snow. But I like florida, I like warm weather. Can't wait till march/april. Thats the best, not to hot, not to cold.

Last night it was 12 here. I had to go pour hot water in all the various waterers.I can't carry much at one time so that was an annoying task. I'd just fed my most timid cat outside (he won't eat with everybody else) well, a big fat mallard duck spotted the water in the cattle trough, landed, drank, then ran the cat off and ate the cat food...

It was 12 degrees here last night, and the low this morning, so far, is at 20 degrees...brrrrrr! I say, bring it on! I've got both central heat and gas heat backup.

We were down, down, down yesterday too. The highest it got was 21 degrees; but, then with those winds kicking up off the ocean, it was downright frigid!! It's starting to go back up today though.

Ah, you're the best! It settled at -11 degrees that night! It was cold. But, the bright side is that next week will get into the 50's for daytime highs! Is there any place better in the world than New England? Like they say, "If you don't like the weather, wait a minute, it will change! "

The bees were back out here today. They ate two plates of syrup and one saucer of pollen. Thank goodness, I was terrified they had frozen to death.

I'm fostering a hive of bees. Another good reason for any stalkers to stay out of my yard.

I'm fostering a hive of bees. Another good reason for any stalkers to stay out of my yard. You have my heartfelt "Thank You". Without people like yourself we would be in real trouble. Alot of people don't realize the importance of bees in our world. Not only for their delicious honey, but for their pollination of fruit, vegetables and flowers.
