For those of you who are unaware, Comcast Internet Service has been seriously damaged by a hacker.  It is going to cause service interruption, interference accessing websites until fixed.  According to the service rep, it is not a quick fix.

Comcast is offering billing credits if you contact them.  It's not the typical $1.29 credit.  I receive a credit for almost $40.00.

They ask us to be patient as the damage to the system is extensive and will take some time to repair.

Maybe a hacker got sick of them blocking "good" email. I noticed they have not been blocking our newsletters in the past 2 weeks. Coincidence?  whistle

Is THAT why I never seem to stay on the mailing list?!  I bet I have signed up for all the newsletters a dozen times.  It comes at first, then stops.  I didn't even know they were allowed to block emails.  Makes me ill to think of any others they may have blocked.  I love comcast internet, but I'm not to happy about this.

I gave up with Comcast and the reminder system.  If I want reminders, I send them to Gmail.  I finally figured out that 2 days before they would block SA entirely, I would find my newsletter in the Spam folder.  I even called and e-mailed them and they wouldn't help except to tell me to have admin submit a form.  Which they do every time.

What's worse is that the block the e-mails I want, yet let the ones about my Nigerian relatives, winning the British lottery, while popping viagra which ultimately killed them resulting in my being the sole heir to their vast fortune, through!   scratch

scratch  And, you have roots in MA?   scratch  Could it be?  Are you really?  You are!  You're my long lost Nigerian Aunt and Uncle!   cry  I am so overwhelmed at this news.  Prof. Charles Soludo of the Central Bank of Nigeria will be astonished at this news as well.  He has been trying to give me your money for years!   I told him I had faith that you had gone underground to Canada to stock up in Viagra and Cialis to bring this great drug back to Nigeria!  laughing  He thought the rebels had killed you.  He wouldn't listen to reason and insisted he make sure your funds made their way to me! He was so sweet.

How can I ever thank you for my new found wealth?   laughing

wow - scary!  Thanks for the info - I didn't know about this.  I have Comcast and it's been running really crummy the past few days.  How on earth did a hacker hack Comcast??

Oh my, this post made me think  of the senior citizen that got upset with Comcast's service:

If I Had A Hammer, I'd Hammer The Cable Company
