According to the rules,
"Entries must be received and recorded by Sponsor's computer by 11:59:59pm March 31, 2008(EST)."
Although the rules say that a winner will be drawn every day, it looks like winners are posted on the site in batches. Another quote from the rules:
"Random Drawing: One (1) Winner will be selected in a random drawing every day for Twenty-one (21) days from among all entries received for the prior day. Friday & Weekend entries will be drawn on Mondays. Random Drawings will begin on or around March 11th 2008 and will continue on every successive day for Three (3) more weeks. Last random drawing will be on or around April 1st, 2008."
Hopefully, all 21 potential winners' names will be drawn and posted on the CompUSA website. Seems like lots of us are watching!

---I (maybe you too) do not receive the confirmation email daily (to which you must respond to complete your entry). I think I have only received it three times. Yes, I do check my junk mail, but when I received the confirmation it was in my regular email.
In the end, the list does add up to a winner a day, but just not in the way I had expected.
Just wondering.

arrtup, I too noticed that I wasnt getting the confirmation emails. I think I got two in the month I'd been entering it. I dont know what to make of it, I'm too new to this to know much.

I noticed all that, too. Really weird way to run a sweep. Same thing here with not getting all my confirmation e-mails. There was one confirmation that I received that kept bouncing back when I tried to send it, stating that addy had received too many e-mails in that hour. However, when I tried several times during the day, I kept getting that message. Perhaps they stopped with the confirmations because their mailbox kept overflowing? |

Hubby told me last night that Comp USA has gone bankrupt. Wonder if the winners are going to get anything? I know that everyone who won on the Sharper Image IWG right before they went bankrupt seems to be out of luck...

I started searching just now and reading about store closings and rumors of bankruptcy. They already closed their store here. Hope they can survive. About Sharper Image, I read that they are now accepting their gift cards, but you have to also spend the amount on the card...to use $25, you can apply it to a purchase of $50, and it will cost you $25 cash plus the gift card, for example. |

I had heard that about the gift cards, wish I had won one of those! I won a 8MP Casio Digital camera in their Sharper Image IWG they had around Christmas time. When I wrote e-prize about it, they answered with a very vague response that stated: We have been in contact with the sponsor regarding the status of your prize, and assure you that they are making every effort to resolve this matter. Seems to me that if they were truly making an effort, they would have sent an e-mail to the winners to notify them that there was a problem, and that there would be a delay in receiving the prizes...  Oh well, I figure I will just chalk it up as a lost cause, and be pleasantly surprised if anything comes from it.  |

 Interesting info cbb. I suppose gift cards and prizes are low priority in the big picture, except when you look at things from the human/public relations point-of-view. It's too bad Sharper Image and others can't just fulfill those prior commitments, which are small to them but meaningful to us little guys. I hope you receive your prize, or a good substitute. With all the store closings and shufflings, I'm sure the company has merchandise somewhere, but I get it...that is not how things work legally. We really miss CompUSA. When we need computer stuff, which we always do, we have to order online, wait and pay outrageous shipping costs. Plus, you can't handle items and comparison shop in quite the same way online. Just have to adapt. ...Now, if only there would be Wii winners from SA. We were finally able to buy one, when available after Christmas and everyone enjoys it, young and old (including senior visitors). There really is something for everyone and some people just can't stop playing. Good luck to everyone who is trying to win!
