The first one is for my Dad's neighbor and a real good friend of the family, Marie Chaney. She was one of Mom's best friends and we just found out today that she has lung cancer
It seems to be pretty far advanced but we don't know if it has spread to any lymph nodes or not. What is so scary is that it hasn't been that long ago since she has had lung x-rays done so that means it is probably a pretty aggressive kind as it is already the size of a half dollar. I am having a really hard time with this since this is how I lost Momma and I don't know that I can stand to watch her family go through the same thing. Marie has never smoked, or had anyone in around her that smoked. She lost a son to cancer when he was 26 years old and her oldest daughter is a cancer survivor. Her family has been through so much, so please say a special prayer for her family.
My other prayer request is for my Dad's neighbor on the other side...his name is Van Bowles. I don't know if you all remember back a couple of years ago, but I had a really good friend of mine to die, her name was Nina, well this is her brother. Van is 40 years old and they don't know what is a matter with him. He has had 5 surgeries in the last 7 months and he is still having problems. Van and Nina are the only two children that Shirley and Daniel had and I just don't think that they could stand to lose another one. He is in Louisville Jewish Hospital now after having surgery Tuesday and they still don't know what is causing the problems.
My little part of the world has been hit hard in the last couple of day and I would appreciate if you would say a prayer for these two families. Thanks guys!
