Can someone tell me how to delete the words & numbers that appear whenever you click inside an empty box. I don't know what they're called, but whenever you type a name or number it's saved. I deleted temp internet files and also cookies, but they were not deleted (I didn't restart computer). I have done this years ago just can't remember how to do it now. ~Thanks for any help.

Are you using FF? Are ya talking about like upcs and stuff that get saved? In FF I go to tools, clear private data, and make sure everything is checked. I dont delete those kinds of things though because its easier than remembering. I think it may be authenticated sessions maybe?

You can actually turn it off. I'd have to look, since I haven't been in it for awhile. When it pops up to offer to fill, just highlight whatever you want to delete and click on "delete" on your keyboard.

No, highlighting & deleting didn't work & I use IE. I don't mind having them, except I've typed in the wrong phone number & password & sometimes I enter the wrong words or numbers instead of the correct one. So, I wanted to delete them. Thanks

It should. You have to put your cursor on what you want to delete on the drop-down menu and press delete on the keyboard. Try right clicking on it and using that delete from the options if the other option isn't working.
If you want to clear everything out completely, you need to delete Internet Explorer's History. If you want to control turning AutoComplete off or on, go to "Tools", "Internet Options", "Content", and then AutoComplete's "Settings".

Whenever I go to an empty box, I click, then all these words appear that I can click on for insertion. If I highlight & rt click, then try & delete a word, no it's not deleting. That didn't work.

No, don't click on it. If you do that, it will just fill in that blank space. Just highlight it with you cursor and click on "delete". Do not click on the word at all. Just leave it highlighted and click "delete".

If you are using IE7... from the IE toolbar - Tools, Internet Options, Click the Delete button on the General Tab and then click the Delete Forms button.
