You have never eaten squirrel?  We use to eat it all the time when I was little.  We also ate wild turkey and deer.  I didn't have much of a choice in the matter, I was little :D

We also went mushroom hunting for morel mushrooms and would fix them and eat them.  I still do this.  I love to hunt for them, and believe it or not, they taste really good.  I have heard that they go for many $'s a pound in the city ~ I have found my new calling ~ mushroom seller

:D Tammy, I sure miss morel hunting. I use to look forward to spring just so I could fix me up a batch of morels. We have all kinds of mushrooms here but not morels. They have several mushroom stands here where the mushroom hunters can sell their finds. They do make pretty good money for the mushrooms they sell.

I just remembered something about squirrels. We were in San Antonio last September and the squirrels were throwing nuts at us from the trees.   They had pretty good aim.
