Starting on 02/16/09, there's something refreshingly new at My Coke Rewards.  The 10-code-entries-per-day limit is gone.  Now you can enter your codes when you want--up to 120 points per week.

Also, starting 2/17 we're going to keep all rewards under 2,000 points to make sure that you get rewarded quickly and easily.  But before the 2000+ point rewards go away, from 2/10-2/16, you'll be able to get some new, exclusive limited-time rewards for 2000 points and greater.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like this at at all.  Before, with a limit of ten codes per day, you could get a maximum of 1,750 points per week (25-point codes).

Plus, I liked saving up for the better rewards.  Now, "ALL" rewards under 2,000 points what can there possibly be to pick from now!

You're only going to be able to get bigger rewards again between 02/10 and 02/16.  After that, they'll all be smaller rewards.  I've gotten some really nice rewards up until now.  It's sad that they're downgrading the whole program.  I also can't believe they're limiting the maximum points you can apply to 120 per week.  I put in far more than that in a week.

Of course, they can do what they want and don't even have to offer the program; but I did email them and let them know that I was disappointed in the changes.

I like Pepsi better anyway!

Someone I once knew who worked for Coca-Cola said that you wouldn't believe how cheap it is to make soda and how much they must make on the markup.  If you've noticed lately, soda has taken a jump in price; and the soda sales aren't as good as before most of the time.

I know Pepsi's program didn't offer any big rewards, but it seemed easier and faster to save up for them; and we got a lot of really good dvd's (mostly television show seasons) and won a flip camera.  They seemed more focused on giving away a lot more prizes to make it easier to win something really good.  Near the end, when the rewards offered were running out, I started dumping as many codes in each day for the flip camera.  One day, it arrived unannounced in the mail.

I hope other people email My Code Rewards people and let them know their disappointment in the changes.
