Question: Is it OK to enter sweeps or contests that are for young people, as in 21 or younger, etc. Some things I would like to win for my granddaughter but I don't know if I should. If I won, would my prize be denied because of my age?
If you aren't eligible yes, you would be denied.
Sponsors don't care what
we want, they care about getting eyeballs, and if it's an under 21, yours don't count.
Why not send it to her? If she's too young to enter for herself, most kids sweeps have 2 parts: parent/guardian info and child's info. Enter HER info in the 2nd part.
Rule of thumb - if the restrictions for a given sweeps don't include you, pass it by. PLENTY of others to choose from!!!
Lying, swearing you smoke when you don't, making up a business name, etc. are all things that give sweepers a bad name and cause sponsors to {sometimes} quit offering opportunities.
DELL is a good example of that - they used to have a yearly Christmas sweeps until the freebie types entered with multiple email addys, trying for a coupon to get an LCD for $1.00.
The following year, the sweeps was so tight with security, it was almost impossible to enter, and you were treated like a cheater for even
trying!!!
That was years ago. I never won from it, but the possibilities were awesome, and I miss it!
