In the entry form, include a 200 word (1500 characters including spaces) or less essay answering the prompt "Why I would like (love!) to spend a week with Frank and Stacia Madden and/or John and Beezie Madden."
Two (2) grand prize winners will be selected on the interest and uniqueness of the essay, in equal measure. Potential winners will be notified by email and phone seven (7) days after contest period closes. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the first attempt to contact such potential winner, an alternate entrant will be selected in his or her place from all entries received.
Prizes: The following four (4) prizes will be awarded: Grand-prize: One (1) grand-prize winner will receive a Bates Elevation Saddle from Bates Saddles and a week with John and Beezie Madden of John Madden Sales. One (1) other grand-prize winner will receive a Bates Elevation Saddle from Bates Saddles and a week with Frank and Stacia Madden of Beacon Hill Show Stables. Activities during week will be based on winners' level and involvement in horse sports at the time. Weeks must be used by December 31, 2008, either at John Madden Sales in Cazenovia, NY, Beacon Hill Show Stables in Colts Neck, NJ, or at a mutually-arranged location between Maddens and winners. Includes maximum of six (6) nights of housing (hotel or staff housing, depending on location) and all meals. Winners are responsible for any costs associated with transportation, phone calls and all other expenses not specifically listed herein.
Total Approximate Retail Value of All Prizes: $4,390.00.
