Its stuck on the middle of my screen and I cant get it to go away.   laughing   It says volume control:SNDVOL32.EXE Entry point not found.

The procedure entry point .. some other nonsense.... could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dl..

anyone know wth this is?  I cant click it off.

ETA~ I tried logging off and it wouldn't let me do that either. I couldn't even pull up the menu from the start menu. I had to unplug it and remove the battery for it to go away. any ideas what caused this

Volume icon is not displayed in the notification area, and you receive an error message when you try to add it

No problem  sunny

You didn't say, but couldn't you get Task Manager to stop it?

I couldn't get anything to stop it. I couldn't do anything. I would click on the start button and the menu wouldn't even come up. Once I clicked out of SA. And tried to figure out the problem it actually got worse.   laughing  Instead of just the volume it was showing the same error message for everything in the task bar thing.  scratch  Once I unplugged the laptop and took out the battery it was ok.
