my son mike is homeless he stays with me sometimes well she wants him to take the kids overnight for a couple of nights and stay at my house.well i am in the process of moving and both places have boxes all over.today is the last day for moving but that has not stop her from asking again and again.i just unpacked a box of sharp knives.well we told her no 6 times in 2 days now she told him he can't see the kids.for the time being it is unsafe for them at my house which we told her so..on top of that the boy who is 2 swallowed some pills sat night and had to be hospitalized while she had them.i love to see the kids and let mike have them overnight but not right now and she won't understand what we are trying to tell her.i feel like i am split into 2.i am working on the houses as fast as i can but i am disabled and have to rest alot and go slow.thanks for letting me vent.kandy

Maybe she is a little frustrated because she feels like she is doing it ALL and by herself.  If Mike is homeless I'm sure he doesn't get to keep the kids overnight(except when he's at your house)and she may be feeling like she needs a break.

Of course I don't know you, Mike, and DIL and/or the situation.  Just speculating on why she has been adamant about Mike keeping their children.

Where does Mike stay when he isn't at your house?  Does he have a sibling who would be willing to let him and his children spend a few days there?

I hope your grandbaby is doing well.  I can imagine how frightening that situation was for everyone.
