Quick question......I am trying to decide which to go with facebook or myspace? any suggestions and does anyone use either of these sites? I am just trying to set up something to keep in contact with some out of state friends and relatives and some use on site and some use the other. I really don't want to use both sites so I figure i will pick one and hopefully the best one. I would like my page to be private also. Some say facebook is more for teens and college kids which I don't really want but then some say everyone uses it? I am confused!!   crazy tongue crazy tongue
thanks for any advice! who knows maybe if i get a page up and going I can invite some of you sweepers as friends!

I only use Facebook now.  I haven't been on MySpace in a long time.  There's too much raunchiness on MySpace.

I used to do myspace but now only use facebook.  It seems much easier to use (although there are some areas that people find difficult).  I have been able to reconnect with a lot of old friends with facebook and really enjoy it.  As for the age.... I'm not a teen or college kid!  laughing  I think it's  pretty much all ages!

Yes, there are all ages--I'm 46.  I also think you have better control over content, friends, your wall, etc., than MySpace.

cheers  You choose the best place to be. I love Facebook. It's a great way to stay connected to family and friends especially if you live as far away from all of them as I do.  It's also a great way to find family members that you may have lost contact with. It's for all ages. I am 55 and have 71 friends and family of which 90 percent are my age or older. More and more of the older generation are signing up.

Change your settings accordingly:

Select "Privacy Settings", "News Feed amd Wall", and the tab at the top labelled "Facebook Ads". Then select "No One" from the drop-down menu and "Save". Please pass this around to all your friends.

I have both but use Facebook a whole lot more, I think Myspace is more for teens. I have found a lot of ex co-workers that i haven't spoken to in over 5 years. I think Facebook allows for much more privacy than Myspace.

thanks all for the advice I have a face book page now (which is kinda bare right now of pics other than a few) It is different than what I thought not alot of chatting and such. I like it so far and have mainly friends and family listed that are out of town . a few locals but not many. any sweepers who want to be friends pm me .
this is a great site for so many reasons from sweeping , trading pizes, freebies and great advice when needed, or just a place to vent and gripe. there is always great support and someone always steps up to help. thanks sa for a wonderful site and all the hard work put in. I am very thankful I stubbled upon this site and joined.  Waving sunny
