How to play this month's puzzle

Below is a postcard message of a few sentences. It may look normal at first glance, but it camouflages a certain item—an item that appears several times. When you see the number of times the item occurs, you should be reminded of a world location. That location is the puzzle answer.

In London, I got a travel guidebook for a mere shilling. It comes with illustrations and maps, which I'll show you. Translated into English, "Il Libro Turistico" means "The Book for Tourists," and it'll sure be handy at the upcoming World Music Festival, when we'll chill out to U2, polkas, mariachi, Lloyd Webber, Angelique Kidjo, and Phil Lesh. So I figured it's the  double Ls that occur throughout the paragraph. I counted nine of them. But what does that mean? I don't get it. Waaaaa!
