Can you please send a few good vibes for my daughter? Ok, here is what happened.

They were so excited that today was the first day, they even got backpacks and clothes ready early yesterday afternoon! This morning they woke up at 6 and I sent my son to the shower while DD ate (apple oatmeal) and then when she got dressed I did her hair, she already had her shower time.

Not long after we took pictures (Always take those 1st day of school pics!!) she started complaining about really bad belly pains so I figured she needed to use the bathroom. She couldn't and it got worse so she vomited her breakfast after I gave her a little peptmo. I went out of the bathroom to call the school to see what I should do and when I came back in she was sitting on the toilet with loose bowels. She sat for a long while and they missed the bus so I called one of my inlaws and asked if my son could ride with her (She works for CPS and was on the way to drop her daughter off and head to work). She said her son did the same thing the other day.

I asked DD if she was nervous or scared and she said no. I was going to take her to the ER but, after sitting in the restroom for about 20 minutes she said she was done. She started getting up and was ready to go. I asked what she wanted to do and she said she didn't know, I asked her if her belly felt better and she said a little bit so I took her to the school (smiles and giggles all the way, she felt better) and went to the nurses office to talk to her. She took DD's temp and said she might have had something in her food that didn't agree with her and may have caused the coloring in her stool. She told me to leave DD there and if she got ill again that she would call me but, she didn't see any cause for an ER alarm.

DD was happy to stay at school but, I felt bad leaving her when she had stomach problems. Can you please send some vibes that she is feeling better and doesn't get ill again? I'd really appreciate it.

At first I was worried about food poisoning because, my son ate pancakes and she ate apple oatmeal but, they told me that food poisoning doesn't work as quick as she got ill.

Thanks a bunch!

aww I'm sorry. She will most likely be ok. My daughter has wierd things like that sometimes. Usually when they get it all out, then they feel better, and are ok. It's probably a mixture of the first day of school excitment, and maybe something she ate.

BTW why are yall starting school so early? Kailey doesn't start till 18th.

Thank you ladies.

Tiff, it's weird huh? In CA they started closer to September or in Sept. Out here they start the beginning of August and get out mid-may.

Well Miki how did she do?  Ashelyn and Caitlyn are both having good years so far ~ both are liking their teachers...we started Tuesday!  Even though I was SO glad to have them back in, I hate having them back on the same schedule again ~ the fighting every morning is nervewrecking!!

Hi everyone, sorry for the late update but, I spent the evening with the kids and then watched a couple movies.

She came home in great spirits and said she felt much better. It could very well have been her nerves or something she ate didn't agree with her.

Red, not white! She has had this color in her stool before (green).

Both of the kids enjoyed the first day but, they didn't hardly do any work. I'm with you ping, the morning schedules are the worst and you don't want to yell at them because, you don't want them going to school with that in their head. It's so hard to keep my cool sometimes in the mornings but, I try. So glad your kids are enjoying school so far.

Good! white is the bad color, means biliary obstruction. Most everything else (except coffee grounds black) is something you ate. Skittles turns poo a lovely purple. Glad she is feeling better!  sunny
