I hate the garbage companies up here. HATE THEM!.. In FL they picked up twice a week and I could put anything out there and they would take it. We paid roughly 110.00 a year. it was part of our taxes.  I mean anything. car seats, furniture.. etc..

up here they pick up 1x a week. I pay 65.00 every 3 months. They don't pick up leaves, they limit the amount of bags. There are 5 of us so over a weeks time we have a lot of garbage. my husband shoves them in the garbage cans.       I have an  old vacuum cleaner and car seat that has to go. they want to charge me a 50.00 bulk item fee.  Its outrageous!  I told her I would eat them first.   

how often does your garbage come? Is it just me or is 65.00 every 3 months expensive?

Our garbage man come once a week also.  If I need him to come again, I can call him and he will come on the weekend for an extra charge.  We were paying $10.00 a month, but now with gas prices it has went up to $15.00.  He doesn't limit our bags, but we never have a whole lot.  We burn anything with our name or address on it.  He will also take off large or bulk items if we ask...most of the time he doesn't charge us ~ I transport his kid back and forth to school for free so we call it even! 

I went to school with both him and his wife so they just overlook me.  Half of the time I am behind on my payments and I will call and have to ask how much I owe them ~ lol!  I always catch up and pay ahead and tell them to let me know.  They just know that I will always pay, so they aren't worried about it, so I am lucky! 

My sister lives in the same county and pays $20.00 a month so that is $60.00 every 3 month so that is about on track with you.
