Gnet.com is a scam/phishing site, run by some middle eastern guy, from a rented mail box (at the UPS store) in Costa Mesa, California.

The so called "sweepstakes" on the site is a fraud, and does not meet with sweepstakes rules, including but not limited to that there is NO $100 million dollars available to give out as a prize (e.g. no insurance bond has been purchased), AND the rules make it impossible to win-- specifically you do NOT win if you get chosen, instead if you are chosen (if your email is chosen), then you are given an envelope with a pre-determined birthday, and your own birthday must match the pre-selected birthday exactly, or you do not win.

The so called humungous sweepstakes amount of $100 million dollars is ONLY listed so you will get so excited and use the site for ALL your searches and use the site as your homepage and search using that site and then the site owner makes money via the pay-per-clicks, searches, click on listed links, etc.

The site owner also does indeed sell your email address (even though on the site it says he doesn't).

When I emailed the site, inquiring about the ridiculous/unreasonable "sweepstakes" rules, the site owner (the one and only employee), emailed be back, twice, cursing and telling me to "stick it far up my arse" (copies on file). I received a reply from the site owner, as listed at whois.com . Thus, confirming, yet again, my suspicions that the site and especially the "sweepstakes" is a SCAM to entice you to use the site and help make the site owner rich with your clicks .

I urge you to report the site to the Better Business Bureau (online) and to ic3.gov (internet fraud center).
