I dont get to post in here that often... well, never actually.   laughing   except for a funny.  anyway, I just wanted to share how proud I am of my daughter.

She has had problems with school since we moved up here. Its so much harder than FL. She got her results back yesterday from a test and she reads at a 10th grade level.. she is in 7th grade... woohoo!!.  I was of course proud of her but more happy that she was proud of herself.  With her vision issues and being a huge tomboy school can be hard and she gets down on herself. she wasnt yesterday and it was so nice to see.

She is also in a math class for kids with problems doing math, in addition to the regular math class that all the students have, and she has an A in that and a C in the regular math class. That is a huge improvement. Huge!..

so anyway, I just wanted to share some good news for a change instead of the constant complaining about this or that.. It did storm here again last night and I could go on and on about the dog but I wont.   laughing

That's so wonderful and you and she should be proud. What sort of vision problems does she have? I know my eyes are terrible but I was just curious how bad hers are. When I was in school I had to sit it the front and sometimes even had to go to the chalk board to see. But I am legally blind so that may have been why lol.

She is legally blind in one eye and the vision in the other isnt great.   All three kids have vision issues but she has the worse.. My oldest boy's vision is actually getting better.

That's my situation also. I only use one eye and that one is also bad. I know how hard it is to have problems in school. If you ever need to know anything about the help she can get let me know. There are some programs that can help her if she needs them.

Really really proud of her, Trace!!  An so happy for her as well  love  Tell her she's beautiful and smart and to give herself some credit.  It's so cool she's doing good in math this year!  Mine is too!  Maybe we're done with math obstacles, the kids and us.  Anyways, she's an amazing young woman and you're a wonderful mom.  Very happy for both of ya!  love

ah the memories.. we haven't been able to drive by it without cracking up. My daughter will remember the police station and the chicken place for the rest of her life.. The chicken place is a fast food restaurant in FL, it wasn't called the chicken place that's just what we called it.. anyway, I had an episode there too.   whistle  She still talks about the chicken place.
