Hopefully, no husbands will think to come down and kick my butt.  whistle

Richart was my Mother's favorite chocolate and my darling husband has taken a love for it.

They do have a place in NYC and do ship. Mind you, this is NOT cheap. It's expensive but some of the best chocolate I've had.

My kids easter basket has this chocolate every year.

Another chocolate I love, I often get in Italy. They now ship and sell worldwide.

Another place that my friend Flamer loves.

He bought chocolate bunnies for my kids from there. They were adorable.. and really good (yes, I ate the ears! LOL)

A friend of ours Oat went to Miami. He said the chocolate was "divine"

Best hot chocolate I've ever had. When I was dragged to Fashion week this year, we stopped by their tea and coffee salon.  It is in NYC of course but the place is very European. Nice people too. We probably looked like hell being up all night at parties (NOT MY IDEA!) and ended up their after an afternoon show. They were very, very nice.. and in NYC? THAT is a miracle.

The only funny thing was how the girl behind the counter kept looking weird at Flamer, David and I. Finally, I asked her if something was wrong. She said "I have never met Asian men with a southern accent before!" lol I told her we were from Virginia. SHe thought we were actors trying to act southern for some upcoming show. Only in NY, kiddies, only in NY....

Come to think of it, I haven't come across any southern-speaking asian men either.  That would be a hoot!!

OK, so I gotta ask.  Does one have to have a certain palette in order to be able to differentiate the chocolates?  I can notice a difference in dark chocolate say versus milk chocolate.  I can't however tell the difference between cheap chocolate and expensive chocolate  scratch

My DH just sent me a ton of See's. Its medium priced, and delicious. The chocolate covered ginger is really good.

gorgor - This first one isn't chocolate related, but if you are going up 95 now and then, check this place out. I think you would really like it, if you haven't already been there.

The food is superb, and I must strongly recommend the brie stuffed french toast. Also, the atmosphere is wonderful!!! You would never think you were anywhere near Philly!

I live in Alexandria, VA, but I used to live in Havre de Grace MD. That is a great little town to go to for a day trip, the Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay there, and there are a ton of antique shops and curious little stores through the downtown area, which is on the waterfront. The best attraction is Bomboy's. They make great chocolates, but their ice cream is the real treasure. It is hand made right there with milk from local dairys, and has a really high butterfat content.  crazy tongue  They also add their chocolates to some of the ice cream flavors!
