hello.  i'm new and having fun so far.   i take breaks during the day and i enter a batch of contests (10-20) then get back to work.  i estimate i enter 40-80 contests a day (most of them repeat enters on daily contests).  have been doing this for about a month.  will do this til it isnt fun anymore.  so far i've only won a couple jars of pace salsa.  But it tasted better since it was free.

For those of you old hands at sweeping, how many contests do you enter a day or week?
how often do you win something worth more than $10?
have you ever won anything you wish you hadnt?
have you ever accidently signed up for something that got you in trouble?
are there any reliable statics out there about entries/wins?

thanks for the site and replies!  good luck!

Hi and welcome to SA.

I have been sweeping faithfully for about 4 1/2 years.  I have won some terrific prizes.

I enter about 200 sweeps a day.  Since sweepspop came on scene, it only takes me about and hour and a half and that's with a lot of distractions.

I have been in a bit of a slump for a while.  I also don't win as many as some as I am picky about what I enter.  Some members enter 800 sweeps a day and win all the time.  When I win, I usually win a prize over $100 unless it is an instant win.

It takes time and patience.  It was 4 months before I won a dvd.  It was another 3 months before my next win.  Then, I started winning something nice routinely enough to keep me interested.

Best of luck to you.  SA is by far the best sweeps site on the web!

sunny Welcome to SA! I have been internet sweeping for about 10 years. I enter faithfully everyday unless I am on vacation. I would say I enter average about 300 a day. Never really counted. I have won thousands of prizes over the years from big to small.  Just be persistant, consistant and patient and you will win. Be sure to check out all the great tips for newbies. The best tip is to get Roboform.
Hope to see you posting another win soon!

Welcome to SA jkcontest  Waving

I wanted sweeping quantified when I started {5 years ago last month} so I get what you want to hear - the only problem? There are far too many variables: # entered/when entered/timing/etc.

Some enter and win big right away, but most of us don't - the "average" is 6 months to win something.

I repost the sweepers credo so often that WOLFIE is ready to tear MY hair out, lol!  laughing

So WOLFIE & all those sick of it, read no further...

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize   laughing - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!  headbang
