I'm new to sweeps. It's amazing how u can become so ADDICTIVE so fast! lol
Thank God, I don't have a job
It's really ugly outside today. Pouring rain, thundering, etc..... and all :( (I'm in NC)
Good time to get some sweeps in though.

I hope i hit a big win one day. I like traveling and fashion and of course CASH!

I have won a free dessert at a restaurant, called Shane's Bbq or something like that a $3.00 check in the mail from ithink
lol

Nice to meet you all!

BTW, i get emails all the time, most of them r junk, or just saying for entering........
or family will email....
How can i differ from those emails to a WIN email? like when they wan to contact me saying i've won something? anything in particular i need to look for?
If they don't/can't reach me by email, will they try to call my cell phone or mail me something?
Thanks
for
any info.!

most will list the name of the sweep in the subject along with your a winner or congratulations.  after a short time you will be able to tell the real from the fake.

Welcome to SA.

One of the quickest ways to tell the legit wins from the scams is usually in the subject line, words will be misspelled (i.e. mistery instead of mystery). All the ones for "lottery" wins in other countrys are scams. I've noticed some new "scam" type emails poping up with subject lines that say things like "Oprah hurt in car crash" (if that was true it would be front page news on AOL or Yahoo) or "4 year old boy bites off sisters ear" (okay, why do I need to know this?) I just deleat all of those.  After a while you'll see a pattern in the scam emails and will learn to just delete them.

A good idea is to use a seperate email for sweeps. I use my AOL for personal email, my Iwon.com for work and Yahoo for sweeps and surveys. Be sure to check you spam files too. I've found several winning emails in my Yahoo Spam.

And another good place to win is with your local TV and Radio Stations. Some of them have one entry per person contests that are limited to your area (meaning someone from another state cant win). From my stations here in Tampa I've won, movies, tickets to a broadway play (Ave Q) and cash!!!

Good Luck and Keep on Sweeping!!! sunny

Watching the swamp reclaim downtown is about the only excitement we have around here. laughing Besides the shootings and drainpipe thefts, of course... I used to have this cat, Banshee, that when downtown flooded he would sit around batting those little silver fish out of the water. I'd never seen a cat catch fish before! But most cats don't have fish swimming on a sidewalk in front of them, either.

Hey, don't forget to enter my MOC (members only contests) I'm going to be running several this year! If you win I can save on shipping-I'll just leave it at Southern Sizzler for you. sunny
Oh, and I wanted to mention, a friend of mine's Dad had his reception at Graystone Inn and they were weird about the reception party too, its not just you that has had issues there. Place used to be nice....
