I have been entering sweeps for almost 3 months and all that I have won is a baseball cap. Why? What could I possibly be doing wrong. I enter sweeps every day anywhere from 30 to 60 times. I enter one-time sweeps and multi enter sweeps. I enter expiring sweeps and new sweeps. I use roboform to help also. I still am not winning! I see some people have won 60,70,and even 80 times! That just frustrates me more. Is there a trick to this? Am I jinxed by the universe? Why am I not winning?

Honestly I think it is because there are more people out of work that are entering sweepstakes.  The more who enter the lower our odds.  I haven't won anything lately.  Hit up the instant wins everyday so that you can get some of those smaller prize wins under your belt to hold you over.

Did you read my beginners guide on my blog and at http://sweepstakescentral.wordpress.com

I started sweeping 2 yrs ago,and it took me 3 months before I won something,I do around 400 sweeps a day, everyday.Just dont stop, because someday you will hit the  BIG one.I did last year,I won $2500 from "Mars".And I also won 4 plane tickets,10 nights at the Hamptin Inn,and $2500 spending money from "Hamptin"and my list can go on....So dont stop because your day is coming.  Waving  sega

It took me 6 months {the average btw} of entering every single day to win!!!

C&P alert - old-timers skip this   crazy tongue whistle

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants! IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's nothing personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize  laughing  - and be positive you will win.

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity.

I really believe that if you go into it thinking you can't win, well, you'll MAKE yourself right so often you'll start believing it!!! I truly do believe you have to have a positive attitude - don't get hung up on what others are doing - just focus on entering, then move on to something else - like posting so we can get to know you!!!

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter - you'll be posting a win before you know it!!! And remember - every day brings new opportunities to win!!!

I too have been sweeping almost 3 months and haven't won anything (not even a t-shirt or a free download) so I feel your pain.  In the almost 3 months I've only missed one day of sweeping, so I'm consistent but I guess not lucky.  cry  I'm trying to stay positive and keep sweeping but a little win would sure provide some motivation.

Amy's right, you have to stay postive.I did the same thing you guys did, by posting for "Help" when I was starting out,and they told me the same thing that you have to stay postive, and it has a lot to do with timing, and they are RIGHT....But dont stop because it will happen. sunny

Hang in there and just keep sweeping.
A happy positive attitude is a must.

Something both of the newbies need to remember is that many of the sweeps they are entering, both one entry and daily, may not have ended yet so no one has won them.  And of those that have ended, sometimes the winner is not drawn for a month or more after the end date.  Some sweeps don't notify the winners, the prizes just show up at your door ... many times up to six months after the sweeps ended.  Don't give up!  Just think of it as a hobby, keep entering, be consistant, persistant, and patient and you will win!  Don't obsess.  Just enter enter enter and you will start to see the wins come in.  Good luck and enjoy your new hobby!

A very wise person once told me to read the rules. I thought aww too much time doing that. Wow was I wrong. After awhile you can merely glance over them but make sure you are keeping good track of your entries. One time only, sometimes disqualifies you if you accidently enter again, sometimes not, they just take the first entry. Things like that can make a diff. Some sweeps require you to take the newsletters and some do not. I have made every mistake possible in the first year and last of my sweeping days. The first three months ROFL, met up with a phony sweeps (Still waiting on my Barney's GC) Spoofed and phonecalls from the hoaxers and the website is still there after my numerous attempts to get someone to take it off....FBI etc. I joined a sweeps site that enters for you which LOL which I caught on when I started getting even snail mail in the wrong name muchless the email. I could go on and on but I think the worst of it was the fact my email was invaded. I awoke to my mail being opened and heaven only knows how they hacked me and who they were really after. So thank your lucky stars you are not me. You are a winner if you have avoided all those things. I kinda wonder with a bit of a mental problem after surgery but I hope I helped and 3 months isnt long really. Thank  You deerwalker. I guess I am just unlucky. :(

I have been entering sweepstakes for over 30 years. I am not a big winner the biggest win was $5000 but I love winning small things.

Since I have family members who collect baseball caps,T-shirts and like to create custom Cd's the smallest win makes me smile.

Sweeps can be very streaking things. Wins can come in bunches or vanish for periods of time. A few years ago I went 117 days in a row without a win.I was shocked at the end of the year to see that I had 107 wins with a value of almost $7000. I believe strongly in keeping records of your wins to keep you going in the slump periods.

Halandt I have used Roboform for my sweepstakes for almost 20 years. In my experience when the rules say no marco, bots or automated entries they mean computer programs that enter you without you going to the site not roboform.

If anyone would like to see my wins for this year and some of my past ones go to
