My husband watches them and I hate them!    He is watching one right now.     Where do they find these people.

lets talk about the peanut. yes, we are going to spend an entire hour just discussing the peanut.  different shapes and sizes.. oh, its going to be so much fun.

I do like that. I also like the food challenge shows. They cook. or bake. I dont know maybe I just have a problem with people who get really really  excited over celery and the like. Its celery. 

Justin Wilson. I adored him except his accent was fake and he was NOT cajun. He liked to say he was but he and his family were from outside of Baton Rouge.

I can't stand Rachel Ray. She is not a chef. Her father is and all the reports of her being a chef are both lies and inaccurate. She did work in her father's kitchen.. as someone who prepped.

I'm an Anthony Bourdain fan. But his show really isn't a cooking show I guess. Everyone else gets on my nerves. I play a game with Rachael Ray's shows. If she says something annoying I get to mute her out for 20 seconds. Consequently, I haven't heard anything she's said for the last year. 

 

It's all boring.  I've never watched an entire show all the way through from beginning to end.  I'm too busy making a sandwich 

Okay, I'm the geek who likes these shows.  I never actually make the recipes, but I do watch.  I like Anthony Bourdain because he is irreverent.  I also like Andrew Zimmern, the guy who eats all the weird stuff.  They've both on Travel Channel.  On Food Network I especially like "Who Will Be the Next Food Network Star".  Guy Fieri, who won two years ago, is pretty entertaining.  I like some of the other competition ones, though I always wince at how much food is wasted at sugar sculpture events and the like.  Alton Brown's show is also good.  As for Rachel Ray, she'd be the first one to tell you she's not a chef.  She has said that she was underqualified for every job she ever got and has been very lucky.  As perky, perky as she is, I think it would be hard not to like her in person.

The kind of stuff I wonder about - a whole week devoted to grilling?  Flame, meat, what else do you need to know?  And the "barbeque circuit" folks are nuts.  Some of these people spend their time driving RV's and portable bbq pits from one competition to the next all year long.  Crazy.

All great shows except Anton. That guy is annoying. lol.

Bobby Flay really amazes me with Throwdown. Almost every time, he loses yet he is gracious and often  admits that they did their speciality better than he did. Not too many chefs can do that.
 I do love watching the two woman who work with him on Throwdown nag.. I mean, talk, to him about the food he's cooking. They are honest and sometimes he doesn't listen. lol

Back in the dark ages when I was in a punk band-we used to do a version of Them's "Gloria", only with the lyrics changed so it was about Julia Child-"JULIA! J-U-L-I-A-she walks to the stove, she stirs the Bearnaise" etc.

   I hate cooking shows too!! I guess it's because I hate cooking and last time my husband went on strike from cooking I literally lost 30 pounds  because I'd rather starve than cook. Seriously.

Yeah, that Rachael Ray.  She must just be a really good cook who got her own show with her looks.  I hate heffers who can cook AND look good 

Right now, I could actually watch me some cooking shows and like it!  I'm so freaking hungry I could eat the neighbor's dog's balls if they were cooked just right!  Hey ndgal, Tico looks delicious!  Makes me think of tacos 

LMFAO....completelyme you kill me....I just spewed all my coke all over the place...believe me Tico wouldnt fill ya up he only weighs 4 lbs

I love watching cooking shows but I am not a big fan of Rachel Ray, I love Sandra Lee, Paula Deen, Ina Garten...and the list goes on...if I am not watching the Food Network I am watching HGTV!
