« on: December 22, 2008, 03:15:25 AM »

For several weeks now I have been unable to access the Total Beauty sweep with either of my PC's.  I'm getting "Internet Explorer cannot display the page" error message. I can't copy & paste with the link from the bottom of the page either. However; I can open it from my laptop so it has to be a problem on my end.  I did enter the sweep many times from my PC when it first started, so I'm not sure what happened. Any suggestions?

Are you also running IE7Pro?

Yes, I did install IE Pro on my XP. But my 2nd PC runs Vista & you told me earlier if I had Vista I didn't need IE Pro so I did not install on my 2nd PC. But I can't open TB from either one.

Try this:

Copy the "Total Beauty" URL from the address window at the top in your toolbar.

Then click on the IE7Pro icon on your toolbar.

Click on "Ad Blocker".

Paste the URL on the line that say "Rule" and make sure it's set at "URL White Filter" below it.

Click on "Okay" and try the site again.

Ok, I'm looking for the icon. Should the IEPro icon be on the bottom rt, if so it's not there.

It should look like the icon at the top left of this page.

http://www.ie7pro.com/screenshot.html

There are screenshots, but it doesn't have the right symbol on those.

No, I don't see the icon. Could I have installed the prg w/o downloading the toolbar or do I need to reinstall iePro?

Try reinstalling it.  You may have interrupted it somehow.

I did reinstall & I see it on my control panel but there's no icon. I'm going to reboot now.

I now have the IE Pro icon on the bottom right. However; once I copied the url & clicked on the icon there is no "ad blocker." I do see "ad blocker" if i go into preferences but I don't see anything that says "rule" or "URL White Filter." If I click on the "ad blocker" box nothing happens.

When you open up IE7Pro, make sure that "Ad Blocker" is checked off on the general list (this should be what you see when you open IE7Pro).

I've checked "ad blocker" just can't find the line that says "Rule" or "URL White Filter" below it. I see description and path but it won't allow me to enter anything in the box.

"Ad Blocker" needs to be showing on the list to the left side of the window that opens.

Hmm, ad blocker is not showing on the left side. The only place I see Ad blocker is under Modules where it allows me to check the box. I checked on my laptop; didn't realize I had IE Pro on it, but I do see Ad Blocker on the L, but not on my PC.

When you checked the box for "Ad Blocker" on the list to the right, did you then click "Okay"?

Ad Blocker is now showing in the left column, I did exactly as you said with the url but it did not work. I also copied the shortcut from the bottom but it didn't work either.

Is the URL for "Total Beauty" showing up in the big open box above where you pasted the URL in by "Run"?

I'm not sure if I'm understand. Are you referring to the big box on the website? Every place there should be a picture is an X on the website.

When you open up IE7Pro and click on "Ad Blocker" on the left of the open window, does the URL from "Total Beauty" that you pasted in by "Run" show up in the box right above where you pasted in the "Total Beauty" URL?

No...I didn't restart the comp but I've refreshed & logged in & out. Everything on the website is blocked. X's in all the boxes. I double checked my laptop IE Pro & I have the same boxes checked. Sometimes turning my firewall off will work but this time it hasn't.
