I have always been pretty steady, but a year or so ago I was stepping out of the bathtub and slipped ~ half in and half out of the tub!!  I had several bruises in places that you should never have bruises in.  I had to crawl out of the bathroom to make sure that I was okay.  I was scared to death that I had broken my leg and would have to call 9-1-1 and have them come and pick up my naked butt!!  How embarrassing error

I highly recommend the after-sun stuff that has the lidocaine and aloe vera in it for nasty scrapes, (after you clean it out well), it takes a lot of the soreness out of it and the aloe helps it heal quick. Plus if you put on a good coating and let it dry, it works almost like a bandaid. Noxzema is a good soother too, though I use that more for chafing and burns, including sunburn. Plus, you can usually find a generic of Noxzema at the dollar store that works just as well as name brand. Yes, I am that much of a klutz that I have all kinds of home first aid tricks!  laughing

My best klutz moment:

I was carrying one of my cats around, he likes to look out the window with me. I went to turn around to set him down, lost my balance a bit, and bumped hard into a shelf that has these glass antique penny candy jars on it. What a racket!! Well, it spooked the cat so bad that he reached up and sunk a claw into my ear, right into that ridge that is in the middle of your ear. He is a big cat, a 16 pound black Persian, and he was literally HANGING off my ear by that one claw, and was STUCK. No one else was home to help me, and it took awhile to extract the cat from my ear, and to my horror I found blood pouring down my neck. The reason why he was stuck was that the claw had sunk into the cartilage!! I literally had this split open flap there!!  cry

They couldn't stitch it, they had to use surgical glue and steri-strips to cobble my ear back together after the bleeding finally stopped. Lucky for me I didn't get an infection!! Needless to say I don't pick my cats up near that shelf anymore!!  laughing

Oh dear---I love the pic of the black cat posted by Celticbiker.  If a picture speaks a thousand words then this picture says "Leave me alone"  That's usually what I look like on Monday mornings

3mnkids1 - Love the pic!!! LOL! Guess things did get a bit derailed, huh?  laughing Mr. Pyewacky almost always sports the grumpy look, unless you are feeding him something he likes!  crazy tongue

ping1970 - you can go to www.photobucket.com sign up for a free account, and load photos on to your photobucket page right from your hard drive on your computer. Just click the little upload link in your account once you register and it will let you browse your computer for pics and put them into your photobucket page. Under each pic you have on your photobucket account, there will be several links ready made for you. Just cut and paste the bottom one that says IMG code right into your post here, and then your pic will be in your post. Works good for selling stuff on eBay, too.

LOL!! Yeah, my cats kind of universally do that! "Grrr! Here comes mom with the camera again!" Here's another annoyed kitty of mine!
