My former landlord gave us a pile of these NC raffle tickets (he's rich and more than a little odd) and not one of them won anything.  
Plus I'm now cross eyed from entering all the numbers in the search thingy
If I'd have paid for these things I would be really depressed now-they were $20 a ticket!

You'd really like my former landlord, he sounds like he's more fun than your landlord. He just has rental property to lose money (tax write off).

Don't feel bad. An online friend of mine won a contest of $500 of scratch off tickets... she won THREE free tickets and $2 twice. And the three free tickets? None won. lol

At least she could laugh about it.
