I just screamed at my kid and to top it all off, I used a cuss word.  Now I feel like nonsense, my night is ruined, and I feel guilty as hell.  Argggg...why do teens have to be so mouthy!!  Where did my sweet little boy go?  It seems like his attitude stinks lately.  I ask him to do very little, and when I do ask something, he acts like it's a big ole huge freakin inconvenience.  I snapped tonight.  I made him give me all his video gaming systems and yelled at him.  I rarely raise my voice, much less yell, but he irritated me so bad tonight.  Maybe this is that thing called Karma coming back to bite me on the butt I hear everyone talking about.  I'm paying my dues tonight.  I feel like bawling.  Just wanted to get this off my chest, thanks for listening.

Anyone whos got a hand in parenting goes thru it Ms Bunny, They LIVE as horrible as YOU  feel. A few times  is HEALTHY and he needs to LEARN you have feelings also ... He/ You  may be angry now but he WILL LOVE you in the END & LEARN to respect your word as he grows into a adult man. Take some deep HOPPING breaths. Im a cop hun and had to a few years BACK call in a OUTSIDE cop between my cop husband / Major Dad and my Goth God son. It got so heated between the two over me trying to take/ Drag  the boy to buy him new pants instead of wearing the most raggedy diirty  goth pants you can imagine. He would NOT go or wear NEW ones if I bought them and brought them to him. Today he is going into the navy on a submarine soon and I cursed at him ONCE.lol  . Take a little bit of space until you can chat him UP in a more " momo" tone and DONT let him get to you. Hes YOUNG, Hes EXPERMENTING & VENTINGand TESTING. I think your punishment FIT the crime. LOVE GUNNY HUNNY

Noooo bunny a nonsense mom??
lol Don't feel so bad, we all do it one time or another. My daughter was being a huge brat today. She kept poking the bunny rabbit. Then she ran around and threw blankets off everyones bed, and she kept running up and head butting my stomach. I punished her, then later on, she did it agian. So I sent her away with hubby. I said forget this, you deal with her now. lol. She doesn't usually pull that nonsense around him, because he's barely ever around and she loves to hang out with him.
Good luck, dont be to hard on yourself. So what did he do??

Thanks Tiff.  I asked him to do something, and got the smart mouth.  Everything seems to be an argument these days.  Even after yelling, I still see the sulkiness.  So I feel guilty, and it did absolutely no good.  All I ended up doing was giving myself a headache.

bunnytoes, you are in no way a nonsense mom for having lost your temper.  cussing You are just probably going thru your stupid period in life. crazy tongue  Don't worry, all parents go thru this time in life where it just amazes their children that the parents can manage to get themselves out of bed in the morning, much less actually run a household or go to a job.  This is truly nothing to worry about, your brain will start coming back to usefulness once your child reaches about 18 or 19.  Once they get into their 20's your brain may be fully functioning again.  Now, depending on how many children you have it is possible to be smart and stupid at the same time.  But having lost your temper in no way means you are a nonsense mom.  What it means is that you are a human being!  If anyone tries to tell you they haven't "lost it" at some time or another they are not being truthful ... it is something we all do.  You said you feel like bawling  cry cry cry... go for it girl... it may help relieve the stress a bit.  Hammer

Bunny, Bunny, it's not you!  I had my niece for a few hours tonight and wanted to put her through a window.  She is 11 and the mouthiest little  cussing  You can imagine.  When she left, I wondered what happened to the sweet little girl I once loved.

Next time, have dogs.  They have the cute furry faces you can't stay angry with!

You're not a bad mom.  Remember one thing.  The hormones of puberty are BAD!  It will get better.  Don't beat yourself up.  By morning, he will have moved on to his next battle.  Hormones BAD!  MOM GOOD!   sunny

Im sorry you are upset. kids can drive ya crazy. you are not a nonsense mom. If you didnt go to bed some nights thinking that you would be though.  laughing  we all think sometimes we said or did the wrong thing. we arent perfect and I dont think our children expect us to be.  believe me I have three and there have been plenty of nights I lay in bed wishing I had done the day different.  Kids are smart .they know which buttons to push and do so regularly. mine anyway.   go ahead and cry it will make you feel better.  I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.  love

Not only are they mouthy have you noticed how fast they get???  Ashelyn gets 10x faster the madder I get ~ that is why I keep her hair in a ponytail ~  that way I have at least a 10% shot of catching the little fart!

It is amazing that this is the child that used to light up a room with her smile ~ now she walks in and the floor rumbles at times.  She is just so spoiled, but I love her ~ most of the time!!

Bunny, all kids are going to cause you to lose your temper and say things that you don't mean!  This is just practice for when they are grow so you can tell the "Remember when..." stories to their kids and give them ALL sorts of ideas!!

You're not a bad Mom ~ you're just a stressed Mom tonight!  It will be fine!!  Do you want some of mine and Wolfie's sausage to make you feel better???

Oh man bunny I so remember those days and I agree with colleen they do tend to grow out of it. I think girls are worse if it's any consolation. laughing My youngest made me cry quite often and now that she's older and married I cry because I love her so much. See they always make us cry.

love and don't worry they will remind you when their grown how terrible of a mom you were.

Thanks for all the supports guys!!  I feel a little better this morning.  I haven't seen the little dork yet, as I decided to let him sleep in.  Hopefully his attitude will have adjusted.

I will bet that isn't the first time your child heard a bad word. laughing
Kids and their mouths nowadays, he's probably lucky all you did was curse. eventually things will get better but you can't let em run over you..
My mom cursed at her 4 kids at least once a week and we deserved it. I know now she did the best she could do and no parent is perfect. My kids will know I did the best I could and yours will to. Hang in there and look forward to the day that their kids do the same thing to them  laughing
