I just got my husband a new iPod for Christmas (I wish I could say I won it, but alas...)

Is there a way to have two separate libraries on iTunes so that I don't have to automatically have his checked songs on my iPod and he doesn't ahve to have mine?  Or do we have to manually click through our thousands of songs each time to be sure we've got the right ones?

I have all the kids songs on mine, and I can't imagine he'd want to go to a business trip listening to Victor Vito (although it's a great song, and I think Laurie Berkner is fabulous!).

I have checked the help section on iTunes, but got more confused after I did that.  If anyone has any advice, i would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

You have two choices. You can set up 2 different user accounts on your computer and install Itunes on both accounts. This would mean you would "log in' to your user account to use your comptuer. Or If you only want account then the only way to do is to make a playlist otherwise all the checked songs will go onto his ipod. Then when he plugs in his Ipod he can change the sync settings to only load his playlists.

I hope this helps!

Yes, that helps a lot!  You should get a job with the iTunes folks--your answer was infinitely more clear than what I found on their help site.....

Thanks a lot!
