Okay - I'm extremely frustrated.  I've been looking everywhere for game pieces for the Land O' Lakes IW (I currently have to do the sase, but since I buy cheese anyway, I would love to buy theirs for a gamepiece).

So today I go to a different store to try to find those as well as the Pepperidge Farms frozen foods.  No specially marked packages on those either.

Third one - Pepperidge Farms Happy Feet...I've bought so many goldfish I can swim.   I never, ever get a gamepiece.  Why can't they put gamepieces in all of them and let you know if you're a winner or not.  Only some packages have gamepieces.

I've looked at Albertson's, Safeway, Lunardi's and Nob Hill Foods - none of them have anything with gamepieces.

It seems to me if they really wanted you to buy their stuff, they'd hurry & get the specially marked packages in the stores asap.   I know I'd probably buy 10 blocks of cheese just for the gamepiece!!

Thank you, my friends, for letting me vent..............ARGGHHHHH!!

I know how you feel, I was the same way trying to find the UPC codes on the Banquet frozen foods for the Tony Stewart Racing Sweeps a while back.

It took so long for the store here in my little small town to order new frozen foods, that I finally picked up some when I went to Atlanta to the doctor just so I could get the UPC codes, I went down the isles of the grocery store writing down the upc codes on the boxes, and then when I got home, played the game, low and behold, they asked you other questions off the boxes like the weight and stuff, so I could not answer them without having all the boxes, so it was all for nothing after all.

IF it's a good one, I'll mail for the codes. Otherwise? Their loss, right?

Yep - their loss!  I suppose that sending a sase is cheaper than buying the product anyway (not for UPC Code, but for an actual gamepiece)...thanks for the support guys!

mtejen - I've learned that for every 1 person who responds, there are 10 to 1000 out there who feel the same way, they just don't post!  :P

So don't feel alone on this - lots of us are annoyed by it!!!  8)  8)  8)

Amy thanks for the info on the codes - I think you told me that on another sweeps when I needed help after the Tony Stewart one - but the trip to the Atlanta grocery and looking like an idiot going down the isle was still a waste of time.

sometimes these games are really frustrating - like they make them that way just so that people will get irritated and either not play or quit playing over the span of time all together.

I think what the sponsors do is get someone in marketing to dream up a promotion that will increase sales, but many fail to realize what you just voiced - the tougher they make it for us to comply, the less likely we will walk away with a positive impression.

It must be terribly difficult to balance their needs (to be seen/remembered) with the average persons attention span  :P

I know sponsors also have a negative impression of sweepers, thinking that all we do is take, but it's a 2 way street - the average person wouldn't look through to find the box/can/etc with the specially marked label, nor be swayed to purchase their product over a competitors for said package.
