If you can't seem to win anything recently (except the littlest stuff), join the "Slump Club".

Hopefully all members will be temporary!  But while you are a member, feel free to whine all you want.

Me first:

OK, so I have won a few Nair samples, and a Crunch bar, but May has been disappointing so far for sweeps for me.  The beginning of the month went by without any of those nice emails saying a won on a monthly sweeps.  No surprise wins in my mailbox yet.  Nothing but a few little instant wins.  I can't even win on that AOL In2TV instant that everyone seems to be winning on!  Even today, I was up with heartburn at 4 AM, ran through all 59 instant games in "my sweepstakes" without a single win (not even something tiny)!

I feel like my luck has run out!

So -- who else wants to join -- and whine?

I look @ it differently, knowing that there are probably 1000's if not more on some of these playing and actually winning a time or 2 is great for me  :!:  just the thought of winning amongst all that is a thrill when it comes :!:  good luck  :D  that is my venting :!:

April was HUGE for me.  So far in May, I've won a Nair sample and a mug from Kodak.  *LOL*  I have my fingers crossed.

What I'd REALLY like?  I'd like to get a win from a "regular" sweeps, either a one-time or a daily.  I love my instant wins, but it often feels like I'm wasting my time with them, too much hit-or-miss (largely miss).  I'd like to get a surprise on my door some time this month -- something I didn't know I was going to get!

I'm not whining yet.. that won't start until next week.  *heh*

sweeps777 ---

--- did you mean you've entered 306 total since you started or 306 just today?

I enter about 50 instants, 100 single entry, and 100 multiple entry contests each day.

I group sweeps into these 3 categories:

instants - you win if you enter at the winning time, regardless of other entrants

single entry - as long as everyone follows the rules, you will have exactly one entry "in the pot" when the drawing occurs, so everyone has an equal chance

multiple entry - you can have more than one entry at the time of drawing,  from 2 - infinite, so some people can have better odds of winning

Generally (when not slumping), I win 2 - 3 instants a week (almost always valued at $10 or less, my greatest instant win has been $25).  I also usually win 1 - 2 single entries a week (usually in the $20 range each, but I have won one $500 valued prize).  In almost 4 months, I have yet to win even one multiple entry contest.

Annlouise... since I have started 311 swespstakes entries so far...I don't have net access at home and walking 30 blocks to my public library is a bit of trek for my poor legs every single day and besides I enter the stuff i wnat to win ....I really really really do want to win stuff....but when I am online I enter all the new one time netry sweeps and the instants I can't seem to get on anymore because my public library has blocked out certain graphic oriented websites that may contain no no type words or content...I am beyond PEEVED with my public library for using stupid content blockers, talk about censorship......sheesh

and oh yesss woe as me woeeeeeeeee as me haven't won squat...LOL ok now I am done for today boy this is a real whiny builder love this thread...kinda like a punch bag....LOL Smile

Well sweeps777, if you look at my stats, I win one single-entry out of about 700 that I enter.  And, I admit, I do enter for things that I don't really want (and, therefore, probably things that get fewer entries total).  Sometimes I get some odd wins that way, but I do get wins (well, I was getting wins).  I think if you stick to it, you will win eventually.  And it will be something that you are thrilled about!

Besides the one-entries, have you tried the weekly and monthly contests?  I have about 50 weekly entries that I do every Wednesday (many are food and clothing).  I also do about 150 monthly contests (a lot are books) around the 15th of each month.  About a third of my single-entry wins come from these (including my biggest win ever).

Good luck!!

So, I'm still a member, 9 days after I started the club!  I haven't even won a single instant win (no, not even a Nair sample) since then!  I am definitely on a sweeps low-biorythm this month.   :(

Anna Louise hun is it bad that I only entered 311 sweeps total :(  is that whats keeping me form hitting anything...cause it 311 mixed varieties of one time entry sweeps, a sprinkling of odd sweeps, and dash of instants sweeps and a touch of dailies sweeps mixed in..... :?

plus you gotta figure I am not on the internet all the time and when I am online  the first thing I do is enter all the new and soon to be expired sweeps ASAP.....doing the best I can  Smile

Not hitting much yourself these past few days huh....good luck and I am sure you'll be back in the winner's circle forum in no time hun.... Smile

 I've been sweepstaking for 17 years, and I did get my two sisters into it too.  It just seems like it's getting harder each year to win anything big.  I have had one big win in my sweepstaking "adventures".  It was back in 2001 when I won a Baja Hammer boat and trailer worth, $25,000.00, and I was featured in Powerboat Magazine (picture also) and I sold it for $21,000.00 and gave my husband all the money for "our" business and now I'm divorced, GO FIGURE!  But as always, I keep the faith.

when you consider the amount of people entering the big sweeps 400,000+ that is a big number in itself :!:  that is why you try to find one that is not advertized well or even local :D

I keep hoping everytime I see the ups truck go by but alas he has yet to stop.I enter as much as possible and was thinking about entering the ones void in my state just to be able to get a win, lol. I am sure we will all get back on track soon. Thanks for letting me unload.  cry

Blord777 hun I never chickled so hard I need a laugh...been thinking the same thing bout what you said about entering the sweeps that are void in my state just to be able to get a win,    8)...how    are we love this group...;)

I wish I knew what I was doing wrong with my sweeps entering formula...there's gotta be a formula to this sweeping madness the few books I read on this subject all I keep drilled in my head is ENTER ENTER ENTER ENTER but who wants to enter sweeps that they don't want the prize in you smell what I am steppin in...
