I seem to think that when you post in the Sweeps slump club, you win soon after. Because everytime I have posted I have won something...

Also I think I should stop doing instant wins and just do regular entrys. Because I spend all my time doing instants and never win on those

There might be something to posting in the slumps club and winning.  I posted and won the carpet the next day.  Yesterday, I posted and last night I won the $15 Colorox Instant Win family fun card.

Plus I offered the Members sweep for you guys so someone will win something sweet from me for Thanksgiving and again for Christmas.

I have to confess -it has been 365 days since my last win.  cry (JK - but it has been awhile) so I am joining the club.

I enter the instant wins
everyday- nearly 100 of them
and finally Yesterday I won an Armoral coupon ($3.99)

I have entered all the single entry and expiring sweepstakes that interest me, and that's a lot because at this point I am interested in winning just about anything!
Its sad really, everyone is posting about winning all the things I want to win and I find my self getting jealous, I should be ashamed I know.   I am beginning to think I have a problem.
No mail surprises, no wins on single entry, no wins on daily entry...I may need to start spending my time more constructively.  cry  cry  cry  cry
Did I post this in the right place or is there a support group somewhere?   :?

Ok, I am here to whine and officially join the "slump club". :(   It has been a few months since this summer that I've won anything.  Those wins were a few instants and the Corazon shot glasses.  But there has been nothing since then.  Every time I see s UPS or FedEx truck in my neighborhood, my hopes go up a little.  But they never stop at my house.  :(
The instant games are getting to me.  The Nestle Crunch game just infuriates me for some reason.
I continue to play, but it is beginning to be very difficult.

I hope that by posting to the club, my luck may change a bit...sigh.  The best of luck to all of you fellow "slumpers".

I didn't win as much on this nestle crunch game as I usually do.
I won 2 movie tickets, a nestle crunch bar, and a box of nestle crunch stixx.

I love winning movie tickets. It's a great night out for me and my family.

I wondered why they extended it to Oct. 31?
Maybe they had a problem with the game?

Usually the nestle crunch games are good. and the company is good too. One time, I hadn't received a prize, a Playstation 2 game, so they sent out another one to replace the one I didn't receive. I thought that was really nice of them.

They will probably have another game after this one concludes on the 31st. give it a try again. you might win. sometimes they have some really good prizes. (you never know.)

I am going to join today. Not only have I not won a big item, but I can't even win a crunch bar as of late.
Maybe Halloween will be a magic day for us all.

My latest rant: :(

I have been getting the SORRY sign an awful lot lately. When I first started doing the instant wins I was winning 1-2 prizes per night... sometimes 3! My last win was a couple nights ago- a Mentadent coupon. It irks me on that one because when all the things lined up I thought I won something cool.

The game I get mad at the most are the Mead ones. I've seen people win multiple times and I can't get anything....
I also get mad at the BabyPhat instant-win... I enter all day/night and I feel like I'm on the show Lost punching in those numbers every hour!

I hate to complain because luck has really been on my side since I started getting into this a month or two ago. I just feel like a terd when I see that sorry sign time after time!

I hope by posting here my luck will change soon! I am still hoping for an Ipod!

robear1 - possibilities:

Entering too often - always check the category/rules to ensure you don't DQ yourself.

Not entering often enough - if you sweep 1 - 3 times a week, you will have less chances.

Confining yourself to only IW sweeps/1x entries/dailys/etc - mix it up & try to enter any and all categories.

Entering for those you aren't eligible - like: if you make up a company name to enter, you enter a sweeps that is only for residents of Canada, etc. Always check the restrictions.

Entering too few sweeps - I'm not suggesting you enter for prizes you don't want/can't regift, but don't restrict yourself either!

Entering sweeps with very few prizes - even though that seems to be the trend of late, try to enter sweeps with LOTS of prizes.

Entering ONLY for big ticket prizes - similar to too few prizes, but these are usually "Creative Presentations" - which means NUMEROUS sponsors give away ONE major prize.

Using numerous email addys to target a few IW's - besides being unethical, it's a good way to get yourself DQ'ed, and possibly blackballed by ALL of the JA's - I would assume they "talk" to each other and share info?

If none of the above applies?

The key to enjoying this hobby is to enter and forget it - DON'T keep track of those you lost on, it will only depress you!!! Be helpful where you can - UPC's, trivia answers, etc - it WILL make a difference!!!

I've been playing almost 3 years (February), and with hubby's rotating shift, I've entered at all different times of day and night. I've had fabulous runs of hitting instants, but since I never enter at the same time each day, it was less a time thing, and more of a timing thing.

I've also had some dry spells - I just kept entering my 150+ every day! Trust me, persistence WILL pay off eventually, but you have to enter to win!!!

Sweeping is a hobby that is all about timing. Especially for those elusive instants!

IF you enter at the exact right moment, you will win. If not? Sad to say you won't. But I assure you - it's NOT personal, and those who win a lot don't have any "secrets" - they are just consistent, persistent, and patient.

The sweepers credo? Enter and forget it. Always be happy for those that win - even when they win "your" prize    - and be positive you will win. Just don't EXPECT to win!!!

Reminding myself of the sweepers credo is how I keep my positive attitude, and my sanity - especially since I went through what you're going through for my first 4 MONTHS of daily sweeping - hundreds each and every day!!!

Hang in there - and enter, enter, enter and you'll be posting another win before you know it!!!  8)

Oh yeah - if you use an autofill program - double check your info is correct. And ALWAYS double check the entry form before you submit

A win would be nice - even a small one - I can not even win at my local Bingo club which meets one night a month.  The ladies bought me a consolation prize this month just in case I did not win (a pumpkin) so that I could make the pumpkin pies for the Christmas party as a joke...

I need some Fairy dust so I can start winning again - some luck would be nice right about now. just a touch would be nice.

tattooedmomma - in almost 3 years, I have yet to win a TV or trip - my point? Don't confine yourself to big ticket wins, enter for some smaller prizes too - winning on those will restore your confidence in yourself that you CAN win, and will renew your faith in sweeping!!!    8)

Rhonda - try to take the focus off your inability to win right now, and just Enter and Forget it!!! I KNOW it sounds corny, but if you focus on the positive, positive WILL come!!!  8)  8)  8)

Twice now, I've NOT won on an IW, to later win from their drawing, the GP once!!!    :P   So DON'T give up on them tiffandrock!!! Just don't focus so much on HAVE to win from them is all    8)  8)   8)

And yes - posting to get the negative OUT of you WILL help - it's why I encourage people to do so, but not to go overboard lest they get in a downward spiral  8)  8)  8)

Since I am basically new to this I will post on here until I win something. I would be thrilled with a $10.00 prize, a dvd, a book , a gift basket, or  anything just to prove that this is worth it. I have entered everything I can or am elgible for but so far nothing. Is there a trick or secret to winning?!
I could use all the tips I can get and a whole lot of LUCK!!!

I haven't won anything in a while and I am starting to get discourged.  I can't enter everyday because with the amount of sweeps I have saved, about 150, its very time consuming.  I try to follow all of the tricks of the trade (i.e. few one prize and big ticket, variety).  I've been sweepsing about 2 years and my biggest prize to date was $100 g.c.  Don't get me wrong I was thrilled, but it would be nice to win one big sweep.  With only being about to enter 1-2 times a week, is it worth it?  Any advice is appreciated.

it is alway's worth it because it only really takes 1 entry to win the big one and you might never know if that winner could have been you! unless you enter. so enter for what you would like to have and forget it and go to the next ,f you can't enter often just enter some Smile i

Just gotta say, I had no idea the "sweeps slump" club was still going strong!  I've been rather busy and mostly just reading the winners circle and the freebies forums.

I can't say that I'm in a slump right now cause I've won a few nice prizes in the last few weeks, but have you ever had this happen ... ?

Last Friday (for no apparent reason) our neighborhood didn't get mail.  Then Saturday was a postal holiday.  So, by Monday, I had it in my head that I would get a win in the mail - either a surprise or one of the 8 wins I'm still waiting for ...

But, no, the mailbox was stuffed full Monday morning, but, no wins ...

OK, Tuesday, then, right?

Nope, nothing ...

Wednesday?

The mail came - nothing - UPS truck passed me by ...

What do y'all think?  Will something come tomorrow?  I need to either get a win, or get myself over the idea that one is "just about" to come!   :D

I've always heard that if your hand starts itching you're gonna get something either by delivery truck or postal.  Let me know if one of your hands starts driving you crazy.   Scratch on wood I was told.  Gosh what I wouldn't give for a itchy hand these days!!!!!!
