Laptop advice needed

I want to buy my mom an inexpensive laptop, but I really don't know anything about them. She will be using it to download and watch movies, check email, and just surf the web. Could someone tell me if this is a good deal, and a decent laptop to download and watch movies from, or if you know of any others from overstock that are decent. Thanks for any help.

My computer geek is unconscious due to dental work. All I know about having a laptop to watch movies on is you have to make sure it has a decent video card. Otherwise stuff freezes up during action sequences.
