GRrrrrr!
Okay I know many have the same complaint... Yodda, yodda, blah blah and so on.... I'm just soo... Uh... Er... Urg... Um... Accck!  cussing I hate those Slimeballs at Hearst!!!!!
A few weeks ago I got an email from Ballard (I love to daydream while perusing their catalogs) anywho it was a sweeps invite through 'House Beautiful' for Ballard offering 30 days of daily prizes... Okay I know (red flag) I clicked on the link and sure enough it was a Hearst publication BUT prominately displayed was their opt out entry form_ So I took a chance and all was fine until yesterday when they changed thier entry forms and removed the opt out entry form... They still gave the yes/no subscription option... I carefully clicked NO to everything! Only to find a "thank you for subscribing" email this morning!!!!!!
I allowed myself to get snookered and I could just kick myself!!! Now I have to go though the whole cancellation dance with these Jerkwads!

crazy tongue I feel your pain! I am kicking myself, too. I inadvertantly clicked yes on a Reader's Digest sweep and got the thank you email. Waited a couple days, sent them an email and it was taken care of. Then, what do I do on the same day while entering the same sweep, I did it again! Sending out another cancellation. I think I will give up on that one.
