I had a strange thing happen as I was sweeping this wkend.  I run IE 7 & usually have 5 or 6 windows open at once.  On the slower sweeps I move fr one window to the other so I can move along faster.  Next thing I know I've got less windows open. Started paying closer attention & a couple times I clicked a folder it deleted the window.  I wasn't clicking the X on the folder but my folders started deleting whenever I moved back and forth.  Didn't do it if I went L to R.  I installed IE 8 hoping to get rid of the glitch but it still did it.  Restored back to last week before it started happening & now IE won't come up at all. Is this a DIY fix or should I call a pro? This is not the same computer that has the blue screen. This computer has been working perfectly until Sat. Thanks for any help or suggestions!

I have problems with windows closing up from speed sweeping up and down open windows and tabs.  Many problems, seem to have developed since Flash 9 and up came out.  I've searched and found many are having problems with the newer flash and the additional security checks.  I honestly don't know if there's a fix other than Microsoft coming out with a patch or something.  I just think with all going on at once and so quickly with speed sweeping and all the flash loading and being checked for security issues that it's just too much for the computer to keep up.

I've even added more memory to mine, but that doesn't make a difference.

As a matter of fact, I think I did update my flash Friday. Do you have any suggestions on getting my IE back up?

Are you talking about the toolbars at the top of your window?

No, when I click the internet from my desktop, it goes to a white pg as if it's going to load for about 2 seconds then it disappears and goes back to my desktop. IE isn't loading at all.

How are you getting on here?LOL

I would first go into the "add/remove program" part of "my computer" and just double check to see if it's still installed.

If it is, maybe try running an update on it.

I'm on my laptop.  I ran my spyware & found a trojan!!! I'm running antivirus now. I don't think I'll ever update anything else. I do see IE 7 Pro and Windows IE 7, but there's only an option to delete.

If it's a Vundo trojan, let me know.  I can give you the link for remove it/them.

Hopefully, it isn't anything nasty.  I had a virus last year that I kept removing, but it really was still there.  No matter what I did, I couldn't get rid of it.  Finally, I admitted defeat and called in a tech.  He actually had to bring it back to the shop and run diagnostics on it.  He was able to remove it after that.

you also might try running http://housecall.trendmicro.com (You may have to type the URL into the start>Run area if you can't get into IE). Sometimes it'll get rid of trojans that are blocking your AVP.  It's a free online AV.
