OK, my husband and I just bought a house.  I couldn't be happier about moving out of NYC and into a place that actually has a closet in every room (I have half a closet in my entire apartment right now).  It has a yard, yes a real, genuine, green grass yard!  But today, as I was entering my sweeps, I realized all the past sweeps that are about to be drawn and my old address is listed with them.  This last week, I have been entering sweeps using my new address but . . .will FedEx forward?  Will UPS find me?  I know the post office will, I did change of addresses earlier this week but what will happen if I am contacted about winning that wonderful "Dream Kitchen"?     Truly, in the bigger scheme of things it isn't that important but wondered if anybody else went thru "moving-and-sweeps-finding-me" syndrome?  And I guess the worse thing about moving. . . no internet access for a couple of days!?!  No SA, no e-mail, no nothin'  cry   OK, enough of that, on to packing more boxes!

Happy Sweeping All and thank you SA for all you do for us!

On most of my instant wins (I've never won anything but instants) on the FedEx or UPS envelope or box it says forwarding service requested, but I think it has to do with the sponsor. I think some of the more experienced sweepers should answer this one... :D

First of all, congratulations on your new home.  I hope you have many years of happiness there.

Try the UPS and Fedex sites and see if they have a forwarding service.  If not, call them.  Maybe they can make a note that comes up when that address enters into their computer system.  Every package is entered into their systems.  Might be worth a try.

I hope your move goes smoothly and you love your new home.

Congrats on your move..I can tell you from experience as I moved about 3 months ago from Tallahassee to the Daytona area...if you have a package coming from UPS...they do not forward them..I tried because I enter ALOT of sweeps daily. We even called UPS and no luck.Luckily we did put in a change of address with the post office and I had a letter forwarded to me from Looking Good Mag..I had won a dust buster and Fed ex had delivered it to my old address and someone(I have no clue who)signed for it so I immediately contacted LGM and they were so nice they replaced it and even sent me a bunch of extra swag.Maybe you had a friend or neighbor that could check for you?If you sweep alot Id also suggest updating your profile on the ones that you go to often..took me forever to get all mine straightened out.Best of wishes

Hey, if you are in an apartment, can you ask the manager or doorman to accept the pkgs and have them call you so you can go pick them up.  That's if you are moving close or still work in the city.  It might be an option.  Also, what about asking a neighbor in your building to accept them for you and hold them until you can get there.  Just an idea.

Good luck.

I am moving from a 2 family house that has just been sold.  My sis-in-law lives downstairs but they are moving out at the end of July so I have until then covered.  It's just those pesky sweeps that ended at the end of June.     I do have a neighbor that I will talk with tonight, hopefully she will sign for anything I may have coming if I need her too.  Thanks for all the warm wishes and great ideas.

Happy Sweeping and thanks to SA for all y'all do!

When I moved last month I called both Fed-x and UPS.  Fed-x was wonderful and took down my new Addy .  UPS said that I should contact everyone I expected deliveries from. cry So UPS apparently cant do anything about it.  I had a few problems also changing addresses on the instant wins.  I did notice, when I do win on them, most will have a place to confirm or change your address.
