My Double Stuff kit arrived today. It came rather quickly since I only won it July 31st. I'm a little surprised though at the ARV of this prize ($100); maybe I'll frame the jersey instead of wearing it!

I got mine awhile ago. The ARV is just an over-inflated approximation. The prize definitely isn't worth $100.

I don't know; $100 seems awfully high for a small cooler, two acrylic cups, a terry cloth headband & a jersey. Maybe I was expecting a bigger cooler & a box of OREOs, LOL.

Congrats. Jerserys are very expensive. My husband has 2 Brett Favre jerseys he is thinking about selling. They both cost over $100 each when he purchased them.

These aren't that type of jersey. Plus, they just have "00" on the back and say "DSRL" on the front. I would call them a wannabe-jersey!LOL The ARV's are almost never the true value of the prize. Except on things like Wii's, Xbox 360's, iPod's, etc. I'd say this prize is worth no more than $50.00 if even that. You can't take the ARV's at face value anyway since they almost never reflect the true value of the prize, and I hope no one is using the ARV to report on their tax returns.

It's cute though. I'm sure my daughter will love it for a Christmas gift & I'll throw in the Oreo's.

No one is getting mine! I'm going to wear it when it gets cooler out. Nylon is killer in the summer. Just make sure you wash it inside out, because those are just iron-ons on it. It helps to keep them from peeling off, cracking, and whatever else those things do!

I have seen basic jerseys between $25-$75 but, with how you described it I wouldn't pay that. Would be a fun win though and nope, I don't claim ARV on my taxes only claim FMV.

You ought to see how much they charge for the jerseys that the teams put out for sale themselves. We went into Yawkey's (team's store) after a Red Sox game, and they want about $80.00 for a Ramirez one, and that was at 50% off after they traded him! I believe most of the value comes from the stitching. The name and number should be stitched on, not ironed; but there's different qualities of stitching depending on whose line you buy. Some stitching is far superior to other's stitching. We do buy jerseys, but I hold out until something is on clearance and has some kind of coupon to use on it. I can't see paying that much for anything. I could buy a bunch of clothes for the family for that amount of money.
