Wanna beer?

« on: June 26, 2008, 04:48:55 AM »

I have just started using the notes feature. Is there not a way to post a note on one-time entries? Also, I am moving. Trying hard to be organized but sweeps stuff is pretty much what I've taken care of so far.  laughing I got a gmail account and some of the sweeps say to use a valid email addy? cussing

Another dilemna, I called the power/water company for where we are moving to. Everything-water, power, gas-goes thru the city. I called to set up. They run a credit check. I have TERRIBLE credit. She could not run credit over the phone, I have to go in. She told me there could be a deposit required of $0-600! 600 dollars? If it's anywhere near that high, we'll have to move in w/o utilities. Any advice? Can they do this? cry cry

like lee said you can put notes on 1x. You just have to save it to your sweeps first.

I have a gmail addy too and when I get that message I just use my old addy. I have only had it say that once or twice though.

Most utilities will ask for some kind of deposit.  If will be really high if you have bad credit because of non payment of utilities.  I have never seen a water co. deposit be really high. usually its enough to cover a couple of months worth of bills. The electric deposit, now thats what can get high. I wouldnt think 600 but it could be and yes they can do it.  I dont understand why they couldnt do it over the phone.

Do you have any family nearby that can put the utilities in their name?

Deposit is usually one months average bill (they take an average of the normal bills for the address you are moving to), in advance. If you can find a cosigner with good credit this can be waived. Also, if you are low income and have kids or seniors in the household or are disabled, contact social services, some places have funds to help with this sort of thing.
